On September the 11th 1973 a CIA backed coup ousted the democratically elected government of Chile & installed a military junta.

The military junta headed by General Augusto Pinochet then went on to kill thousands of people & torture tens of thousands more.

Okay no Chilean was involved in the perpetration of the terrorist attacks of September the 11th 2001, but what occurred in Chile on September the 11th 1973 is symptomatic as to why the terrorist attacks happened on September the 11th 2001.

Basically in relation to its foreign policy whether it's the Democrats or Republicans in control, the US government has not learnt the old saying about hornets & poking.

Of the many things I enjoy about listening to the liberty conspiracy one thing I love hearing is Gard lampoon Garrison Keillor. During my last year of college I had started working for the NPR station that was on campus as board operator and usually students did the weekend shifts and that meant at least once I would have to endure the two hours of hell know as A Prairie Home Companion, some weekends I would also have to do the replay. The show was tolerable at best but when Keillor started to interject his politics into the show I would get the douche chills. Ventura was governor at the time and was a constant target for the self proclaimed yellow dog democrat. It seemed like he would take pot shots at Ventura not just for his politics but the Body's wrestling past.

Last weekend I had somewhat of a heated debate with Lawrie an old school friend of mine who is now a prominent member of the Green Party so as one might imagine pretty much a hardcore socialist.

Lawrie started off by saying I was naïve to be applauding James Murdoch critical remarks regarding the BBC, yeah its like Lawrie's being at all naïve in thinking that socialism can work when the likes of Milton Friedman & Friedrich von Hayek have proven that socialism doesn't work.

I don't need some guy to munch their way thorough the McDonalds menu to tell me that if constantly eat McDonalds it ain't going to be good for you.

I really don't need a 90 minute documentary of some guy eating McDonalds for a month to prove McDonalds sells shite.

Let me ask anybody reading this whether anybody is actually forced to eat at McDonalds? Yes tell if you have seen anybody being marched into a branch of McDonalds with a gun to their head? Nope I've not seen anybody recently being forced to scoff Big Macs & chocolate milkshakes.

Speaking as somebody who has long been a supporter & believer in constitutional government obviously I'd love it to work in reality.

I sincerely would love constitutionally restrained government to work in reality but one just has to look at Afghanistan to realise that constitutional government is but a sham.

You just have to look at Afghanistan to see that the notion of freedom & democracy is a sham!

Obama & other prominent Democrats are mourning the passing of Edward 'Ted' Kennedy but I'm not. Senator Ted Kennedy  literally did get away with murder.

It's often said by cynical anti government types like me that politicians get away with murder. Well many politicians are murders indirectly with the wars they wage etc, but in the case of Ted Kennedy he directly committed murder & if that wasn't bad enough he got away with it!

I once wrote on the subject of why it was that even though I'm physically disabled I rarely ask for help was because if you ask for help then you won't get the help you think you need you'll get the help others think you need.

Further to that I'd say in general that in general people are more likely to tell you that you're wrong then help you.

John Stuart Mill along with Adam Smith & John Locke is considered one of the great philosophers of British Liberalism. Mill was a founding member of the Liberal Party & I'd like to be that much of what he wrote in his book On Liberty is still the foundation of liberal philosophy today. On Liberty is famous for arguing 'That the only purpose for which power can be rightfully exercised over any member of a civilized community, against his will, is to prevent harm to others'. This is often referred to as Mill's Harm Principle. This principle has become integral to libertarian philosophy but sadly though I'd like to be integral to liberal philosophy these days is very much less so.

Born Disabled - Born Into The Shackles Of Socialism

For a disabled person in modern Britain there are social workers for this and therapists for that and doctors for everything else.

People need not feel compassion and understanding because hey somebody else is paid to do that.

Well this cripple says no!

This spastic knows how ego destroying it is when 99% of the people who cared about them as they grew up were paid to do so! Yeah kind of destroys the myth that we somehow live in a compassionate society. Unless of course you count making somebody a ward of the state as compassionate.  Social workers for this and therapists for that and doctors for everything else and vampiric state sinks its teeth ever deep in.

Whether its Princess Di (a Sloane Ranger who got lucky) or Jade Goody (a talentless chav) the contemporary mainstream media generally goes over the top in praise when some celeb dies. There's been plenty of it since Michael Jackson croaked about him being the greatest pop star ever & etc. I never rated the man or his music; I think criticism concerning his behaviour towards children is just & I think there's just criticism concerning the messianic egotism which he often attempted to perpetrate. But I think criticism concerning Michael Jackson radically changing his image is unjust.

Being as I'm a homosexual I definitely don't like being called a fag or poof or any other derogatory term for a homosexual. But I prefer people had the freedom to do so simply because I prefer to know somebody it a homophobic dipshit.

Being as I'm a homosexual I definitely don't like the crap spun that homosexuality is a 'lifestyle choice' because being a homosexual is no more a choice as being heterosexual or Black. But I people have the freedom to spin such crap that 'homosexuality is a 'lifestyle choice' so I know whoever is an ignorant homophobic dipshit.

After reading the article, I can't decide if it's all as bad as the Times made it sound with that title, though it's probably safe to assume that it is...  Looks to me like yet another misdirected attempt at getting morals into the world.  You can read his talk and, aside from probably needing a few economic lessons, you might agree with the things he wishes would be addressed.

It's a pretty disturbing occurrence but I doubt it will have the impact it should.

With the revelations that have been spewing out over the last few days concerning Member's of Parliament getting their figures caught in the till is it any wonder that the likes of Alice Humphreys want to be a Member of Parliament.

From my libertarian prospective this utter piss taking not only do MPs get impose unjust laws upon me but I pay from them tor doing it & now I find out I'm paying for them to live the good life. As I said its no wonder why Alice Humphreys wants to be a Member of Parliament it's the gravy train then some.

Let me start off by saying I think Michael Savage is a individual with despicable views, in fact let me correct that he’s a man with despicable views that are dangerous. Michael Savage in my opinion is definitely an asshole but as I’ve always said even assholes have the right to free speech. Now thanks to the British government Michael Savage is an asshole with a lot of press & yet another free speech martyr.
