Defending McShite
I don't need some guy to munch their way thorough the McDonalds menu to tell me that if constantly eat McDonalds it ain't going to be good for you.
I really don't need a 90 minute documentary of some guy eating McDonalds for a month to prove McDonalds sells shite.
Let me ask anybody reading this whether anybody is actually forced to eat at McDonalds? Yes tell if you have seen anybody being marched into a branch of McDonalds with a gun to their head? Nope I've not seen anybody recently being forced to scoff Big Macs & chocolate milkshakes.
Nope I've not seen anybody being forced to eat at McDonalds & guess what I don't eat at McDonalds because as I say they sell shit & do you know why I'm able not to eat at McDonalds? Its called free choice & its as if people no longer recognise that free choice exists. You speak to some lefties & they almost make out that people are forced to eat McDonalds.
Few years back in the US some lawyer who'd successfully taken on the tobacco industry for giving smokers cancer then took on McDonalds for making a bunch of people fat. A fucking absurdity that people don't have free choice & thank goodness the courts threw the case out stating pretty much that people make themselves fat. However there's one thing the particular lawyer involved with this case says & can be seen in Morgan Spurlock's documentary Supersize Me & that is there should be an onus on McDonalds to provide nutritional information. Now its some years I've been into a branch of McDonalds but I do remember seeing nutritional leaflets in fact I remember reading one. Okay there are a lot of stupid people in the world but I do believe that the vast majority of people in the west at least are able to read. Oh guess what if there aren't nutritional leaflets you can ask or protest at the counter. I know there are a lot of stupid people in the world but I do believe the vast majority of people are still able to ask questions. Yes McDonalds should be open & in fact a lot more open about the shit they pump into their burgers but there is an onus upon the consumer in educating themselves that what garbage they're ingesting into their body. In fact it bemuses me that people wouldn't educate themselves as to what they're not putting into their body.
I'll say that at least say that the lefty health nazis are consistent in that neither do they approve of McDonalds nor that great British institution which is a-heart-attack-waiting-to-happen...the fish & chip shop & they'd ban the fish & chip shop as well as McDonalds. But then you get those lefties who jump on the same bandwagon but really they're bigots because they don't have a problem with the chip shop because that's British even though chips aren't a British invention) but what rid of McDonalds because its American. Yes those internationalist socialists don't want rid of McDonalds because it sells unhealthy crap sure they'll use that as a front but you'll then hear them say something like "Its not like I got something against fast food I quite often enjoy a fish supper from my local chippy", yep junk food is okay just so long as its British junk food. I dream that one day that we can get past judging things by lines on a map because to do so is just bigotry. The truth is that if compared a Big Mac meal with a fish supper the Big Mac meal would in fact be likely be the healthier of the two.
But unlike socialists, lefties & other authoritarian fascistic fuckwits I nor any libertarian believes regulating what McDonalds or the local chip shop sells, if either want to sell whale burgers or dog & chips fine by me because I don't have to buy the crud they sell & neither does anybody else. Yep I don't have to buy the food they sell because I have this ability called free choice & if you don't approve of McDonalds you too have the free choice not to purchase from them...isn't free choice brilliant!
