I don't get it, I really just don't get, I don't that parents a hysterically paranoid that any strange looking bloke could be a paedophile & yet tell their kids that some white bearded man in a red suit climbs down the chimney early Xmas day & leaves presents for them. The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) does happen to do some good work in raising awareness of individuals & groups who espouse hate & bigotry. On the ADL shit list you're find the likes of Alex Jones & the KKK as well as other individuals & groups tat preach extremism, hate, racism & bigotry.

I'm certainly of the opinion that those who are deservedly named & shamed by the ADL for being hate filled extremists.

The ADL were originally set up almost a century ago to fight defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice & fair treatment to all, but contemporarily the ADL likes to promote itself as a premier civil rights agency which fights all forms of bigotry.

Before I begin this rant proper I'll say there are things I do like about Xmas such as, Xmas cake, Xmas pudding, Xmas trees & Xmas lights, but those things which I like about Xmas are but superficial compared too what I detest about Christmas.

1) The run up to every Xmas are television screens are saturated with adverts portraying the 'ideal family Xmas' yet we know the average Xmas isn't anything like its portrayed in the commercials are television screens are infested with. Though people know the portrayal of Xmas in commercials is but a bullshit fantasy, yet if you try & add a drop of reality how Xmas really is for people...oh how dare you scorn the masses & their Xmas fantasies.

Its that time of year when everybody is wearing a poppy in their lapel. As far as I'm concerned the whole wearing plastic poppies & Remembrance Sunday is now but a celebration of militarism. Oh of course people will say no its not & that its when we remember those who gave their lives defending this country. Its certainly true in the case of World War II but only because the previous World War was horrifically unjust & its not as if that vast majority of military action since World War II has been in defence of this country rather in defence of western corporatist interest particularly with the invasion of Iraq.
