Funny how easily Americans forget that Fourth Amendment requirement that all searches will be conducted only after a warrant issued by a judge, based on just cause .

And remember, as we have spelled out in out Audios (see links on left side of home page for our audio library), the feds don't even have a Constitutional justification to be in these private or municipal airports. But hey, since the TSA has been totally ineffectual in stopping EVEN ONE TERRORIST, perhaps they get a sense of achievement in trampling on our rights.

So it comes to this. The "war on obesity" meets the education state. At what point do people wake up and realize that getting gubment involved with education is a huge mistake? When will they look at the history of government-run education in the US and see that it has been an utter failure, even as more money and power is given to it?

To the kids in this (possibly more than this single one) school: Good luck. Fight back in creative ways. Sabotage the system from inside. Play pranks on the principal. Do anything peaceful and funny to show them how insane they are. You might not win, but at least you'll get the satisfaction of pushing back.

What's interesting about this move is two-fold. First, it is the FCC that imposed these regulations, which are unconstitutional not only in that it is an extra-Congressional body doing it, but also in that Congress doesn't even have the power to regulate the net! So, you have an unconstitutional regulatory agency establishing unconstitutional rules to force ISPs and internet providers to have to conform to federal rules rather than market rules, then a number of Congressman feel that they are forced to have to pass a law to stop it. They pass the law (remember, a LAW to stop a REGULATION) and then the Prez threatens to VETO the law in order to keep the REGULATION in place!

It would be better to have the Rep file a bill stating that any private airport operator or priate airline operator who wishes to NOT conform to fed rules will not be prosecuted or arrested by any Texas government official, and that the government of Texas will resist with armed force any attempt by the federal government to impose it's unconstitutional rules on any airline or airport in Texas, but this is a nice touch.

Yeah, there's nothing like encountering another story about how gubment blocks charitable, voluntary interaction.

We all know the old argument. "Ahh," say the bureaucrats and politicians. "But you see, the homeless aren't 'protected' from being fed food prepared by 'licensed' food preparers."

"Why don't you leave to their own devices the poor people who want help?" you might ask.

So, the state says your child MUST be 'educated' according to state standards, the state fails to educate huge percentages of the kids, the costs go up, citizens are forced to pay whether they have kids or not, and then, if the kids who are stuck in the system have a problem with a school, they're folks are FINED, without a judicial avenue of recourse.
