It's frustrating to see left-statists preparing to protest business owners like this one and the folks who run Red Lobster/Applebees. The protesters say that the business owners are doing wrong when they prepare to cut employee hours and raise customer prices as a result of the costs of the federal medical fascism law. These protesters must not understand economics. Perhaps they believe that the business owners are making these moves because they just 'don't like' the current President. It must be personal, they might think...

Another case of what are called "unconstitutional conditions", wherein the government forces people to accept the destruction of their rights in order to get a so-called "service" from the government. In this case, it's the 4th Amendment. People might try to justify the actions by claiming that riders voluntarily board the buses. This is true. But taxpayers have no choice but to fund them. What if they want to ride that which they are forced to fund, and want to retain their rights?

The semantic legedermain these people use is almost comical. See, FISA, the "Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act" created the power for the feds to spy on "foreigners", which means, in their Byzantine logical construction, that if you are an American citizen talking to a foreigner, you, too, can be wiretapped.

One would think that if an American citizen were involved, a WARRANT would be needed, ya know? But, nope. Not in the new USA. The Bushies pushed this, and got it, and now Obama's team wants to continue it.

This is a wonderful story. A farmer who has been attacked by the state for growing marijuana has allegedly taken his tractor and rolled over eleven of the empty police cruisers.

Aggression by the state sees blow-back. Unfortunately, given the acceptance of the tax system by so many people, and given the fact that so many people accept the myth that police protect them (it has been proven false statistically and legally), the cruisers will likely be replaced at the expense of more taxpayer cash.

But this is pretty cool.
