Pertaining to "Cap n' Trade", and Statist Shibboleths Like the "Tragedy of the Commons", Check out This Earlier Production!

In preparation for our extensive conversation with Glenn Jacobs on the Congressional "Cap N' Trade" nonsense, we want to draw you to take a listen to this piece Gard produced in response to a conversation he had with a supposed "free market guy" who was trying to argue that Cap N' Trade is a "free market" solution to a supposed problem.

Neither the problem, nor the claim that this Cap N' Trade is a market idea are justified by looking at facts.

Here is the linknola to the free market economic analysis of "The Tragedy of the Commons".

Obama Admin Re-Imposes "Light Bulb" Regulations

Yep, the regulations regarding 'energy eficiency" for light bulbs are back, this time coming to you from the Democrats in the White House and EPA, rather than the Republicans, as they did before. Funny, the people on the left so often talk of "freedom" and "privacy", but they don't want you to be free to have the dang privacy to get the kinds of light bulbs you want.

The Lakota Sioux should open an incandescant light blulb manufacturing plant and serve the market demands for them. They would see great wealth come their way!

Glenn Jacobs Gives Us a Closer Look at Fascistic Details of Cap n Trade Bill... Audio on Its Way!

Here are some of the points that Glenn Jacobs, of www.adventuresofcitizenx.com offered to Gard, upon Glenn loking deeper into the already economicall, constitutionally and scientifically backwards bill that passed Congress Friday night.

_____

72 544x376 -- Congress unconstitutionally delegates it legislative authority to the EPA. (And in this case, as in so many others, it doesn't even have the authority in the first place!)

As Expected, Cap N' Trade Bill Passes House, Another Wet Blanket Thrown on Productivity and Standards of Living

Tyranny. Simply put.

Unconstitutional? You bet. Immoral? Yeah. Based on faulty pseudo-science? Yes!

Expensive? Yeah. Will it harm business and peoples' lives? Si!

Is it an unethical re-working of the idea of tort law, where, in order to bring suit for damages, you are supposed to be an AGGRIEVED PARTY and be able to show DAMAGES? Yep!

Since government is an abstract creation, not a man, no government can be an aggrieved party making a claim for damages, and, by extension, no government should have any authority to pre-emptively stop an activity like this. It's bad stuff, baby.

Bernanke Claims He Didn't Pressure Bank of America to Acquire Merrill Lynch - Are We Supposed to Believe This?

Check out his slick position. No one "at the fed was directed"... Of course, he was working with Hank Paulsen in the Treasury Deparment on this, so did anyone ask him if the message was relayed through Paulsen, if he was aware of any such message, or why the actual NOTES written at the time by the head of BoA indicated that both Paulsen and Bernanke were pushing for the purchase?

What we really wanna know is this: Instead of MERRILL Lynch, why couldn't Bernanke and his buddy Paulsen have pressured Ken Lewis of BoA to buy up NH Governor JOHN Lynch? Then we'd be rid of him here!

SEC Proposes Tough New Regulations on Money Market Funds

Hey, jussss a crazy question: Where in the US Constitution is there a sanction for something called the Securities and Exchange Commission? Just wonderin'.

Oh, and... Well, sorry if we're troubling anyone, but why should the government, which fails to stop the supposed "problems of the market" be trusted with MORE power to stifle competition and investment?

In a free market, only those who CHOOSE to become involved with risk take on that risk. Even secondary investors know what they're getting into, and guess what? Even those who are reckless and invest WITHOUT checking, then fail... Well they serve as examples so that others will avoid their mistakes.

New Fed Financial Reg Proposal Will (uh, duh?) HARM Bank Profitability

No kidding.

By the way, it was a deft, and insidious, move to announce their financial regulatory scheme at the same time as the socialized medical plan. Keep the enemy dancing, they must think.
