People like the noxious Pew Center, and the Union of Concerned Scientists are behind this bill. Obviously, it will increase the health risks for farm animals, thus increasing costs for farmers and for consumers, all at a time when people are out of work, and food prices are not only rising, they will rise steeply as the inflationary policies of the US government and its legal money monopoly, the Fed, hit the stores. Sometimes one wonders if the bad ideas coming one after another in DC aren't pre-planned.

Love the way they add all sorts of amendments to these things!

First, you have the feds sticking to the fallacious belief that it is a federal role, and not a state role (as is actually written in the constitution) to control immigration. Then you have "E-Verify", which only applies to federal employers now, but will clearly expand to all US employers, THEN you have the sticky issue of allowing reimportation of drugs from Canada that are made cheaper due to the Canadian government's regulatory mess, sort of like a mafia controlling the cost of pasta in your city. Is it really ethical to buy said pasta?

Okay, so your medical privacy will be gone. The company with which you privately contract will be competing against a tax-subsidized government health plan, the insurance company will have all sorts of regulations and requirements applied to it by the feds, forcing up costs, and if you don't get health insurance, you will be fined. Now, the new taxes they will need to fund the federal plan are being proposed.

Ahh, that heady aroma of freedom --- decaying.

First the feds outlaw chemicals that are taken voluntarily, inspiring a black market in the US, imprsoning people who haven't hurt anyone, seizing private property, and increasing crime. Then they make deals with the Mexican gubment to "wage war" on drug suppliers in that nation, causing untold tragedy and death. THEN then "inspect" homes where they suspect the owners have bought "too many guns" and might be selling them to the very criminals in Mexico that THE FEDERAL DRUG "WAR" has created!

They're everywhere. In New England, the talk radio stations that often broadcast "conservative" talk hosts have been playing the spots that tell people that they can get "free" cell phones, paid by the federal government. From whence might this "free" money come?

From a tax applied to YOUR phone bills.

But WHDH TV of Boston, and Hank Phillipi Ryan (who is now writing romance-crime novels) are telling people that it's a GOOD program, one that should have MORE people using it. In fact, they imply that the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is doing something WRONG by not getting more people on phone socialism. Hank usually reports on rip-offs, but clearly her instincts stop at the government door on this, don't they?
