$2.4 Billion to be Wasted by Feds on Electric Car "Investment"
They are redirecting usable capital into areas in which people COULD invest right now, if those free individuals saw the electric car market as productive. Instead, people are being FORCED, enslaved, in order to have cash sent over to areas where politicians see that they can get a payoff, be it in monetary support or in media coverage, or for their own twisted world views about the benefits of central planning for the environment.

Even If One Accepts Premises of Enviro Fascists, Cash 4 Clunkers Will Have Negligible Impact on "Evil Emissions"
First off, the carbon dioxide emissions that are central to the enviro-fascist argument do not preceed rises in global temp, they follow rises in global temps. There is no causal relationship leading from CO2 to higher global temps. The temp fluctuations over centuries on earth are likely due to fluctions in solar flare activity.
But, that said, even if one accepts the enviro-fascist premises, the Cash 4 Clunkers program will barely do anything to reduce emissions.

A Great Example of Journalistic Blindness to Economics: "Time" on Possible Shortage of Doctors Under Gubment Health
Not once do the "Time" people make the connection between government payment, increased demand, and shortages. Subsidies lead to shortages and higher prices, which, in the government system, lead to price caps, rationing, and higher taxes. it's simple economics, but this piece blithly overlooks it, never connects the dots or discusses the CAUSE of the problem.
Why? Well, clearly it's because the "Time' gang WANT gubment health care, so these troubles are just assumed to be necessary "bugbites".

As we have stated many times, on a Constitutional level, the only way the President can lead the troops is if Congress declares War. The Bush Admin did not want to have a War declared, because people like Yoo and Gonzales thought that doing so would inhibit their ability to interrogate via torture. (They were wrong in their assumption that if Congress didn't declare War they would be able to torture. Common Article Three of the Geneva Accords stipulates that any non-uniformed combatant captured in action on the soil of a signatory nation must be afforded all the protections of the Accords, even if there is no War declared.) Sooo...

Wall Street Journal Hits it Spot on Regarding ERISA and Health Care Choices
ERISA was one kind of tax code manipulation, from the 1970's, that shifted the market towards group insurance, but repealing it will simply give the gubment more cash,a dn restrict medical choices for employees. The alternative is to let individuals who buy their own insurance write the full expense off their taxes. But the socialists will never allow this to happen.
