Instead, people have chosen other, more productive avenues to follow. The government intervention and redirection of the usable flow of capital can ONLY inhibit the growth of the economy, only DESTROY jobs.

Not only does the science NOT support the fascist thesis that man's activity is causing the earth to warm, the earth has been COOLING since 1998.

These anti-market mandates will cost people more, remove their ability to make their own choices, and cause unintended consequences, like cars that are not as safe as they could be. Bad idea, forcing people to do as you tell them. Why not start a ompeting car company that conforms to your wishes, IN THE PRIVATE MARKET, and not use people's tax money to push other people around and then give the people who were taxed to create the gangland force a bunch of cars they would not have chosen in the first place? Why not just compete in the market, and see what people choose, FREELY?

Anyone remember the Boumedienne and Hamdan Supreme Court cases that stipulated that the US gubment HAD to give habeas corpus hearings to the "detainees" unless Congress had lifted the Writ universally for all?

One wonders... Politicians clearly know better how to run an efficient health care system. There could be no toxic influence from politics, no problem with a lack of market incentives, could there?

When government gets involved with health care regulations, costs go up, choices go down. When government pays, demand is artificially increased, government costs go up, the government responds by decreasing payments and choices, by creating price caps and restrictions on use. You get a health care system which is worse than it was before.

In the free market, productivity creates a drive to reduce costs and increase quality. Thus, DVD players have dropped in price to a point where even people of little means can buy them. Same thing for computers.

Do they actually BURN TAX MONEY TO FUEL IT? ;-)

Antitrust laws are not only unconstitutional, they penalize, punish, ATTACK competitiveness and attempts to give the customer better products for less. They are usually used by politically connected businesses to get the gubment to go after more competitive businesses. Refer to "Antitrust and Monopoly", a book by Dominic Armantano, for an excellent exploration of the issue and its history.
