Dude Is There A Problem With The Liberty Line

I was just wondering why Gard hasn't posted any audios from the liberty line in the past two weeks?

Is there a problem with it techy wise?

Rabbi & The Taxman

The Internal Revenue Service sends an auditor to asynagogue.

The auditor is doing all the checks and then turns to the Rabbi,"and says, "I noticed that you buy a lot of candles."

"Yes," answered the Rabbi.

"Well, Rabbi, what do you do with the candledrippings?" he asked.

"A good question," noted the Rabbi. "We actually save them up and when we have enough, we send them back to the candlemaker and every now and then, they send us a free box of candles."

"Oh," replied the auditor somewhat disappointed that his unusual question actually had a practical answer.

"Rabbi, what about all these matzo purchases? What do you do with the crumbs from the matzo?"

Truancy

This is a story I happened to run across late because it's from October. It's a story from The Adcocate, a newspaper from Baton Rouge, LA. Long story short, the District Attorney, Hillar Moore III, is threatening jail time for parents who allow their children to miss more than 3 days of school. First of all, school sucks. If school was so great, children wouldn't have to be coerced into going to school. Second, it is inherently wrong for any school system or state official to cage a parent for failing to make their children go to their indoctrination camps. Parents should not be so sheep like and not let the state tell them where there children should be. Parents should be responsible enough to watch over their own children.

What Happens to KSM in a Private Justice System?

How would Khalid Sheikh Mohammed by treated in a private justice system?  Keep in mind that "rights" such as due process, miranda rights, and trial by jury are designed to protect individuals from the government and would not exist in a private system.  In a private system, restitution would protect the individual.  For example, if you were arrested and incarcerated but found innocent of any crime, your captors could be charged with kidnapping.

God Save Libraries!

Here’s my problem with the libraries argument of the recent podcast. Recently, in my fair city of hip, beautiful and unremittingly romanticist socially democratic Vancouver, I went on a tour to find a book of Hayek’s. I went to recent stores and old ones, chains and independents, new releases and used books. None, not one store had the book I was looking for, in fact, not one had any single book by Hayek. Complete absolute zero. And, I thought quite fascinatingly, none even had economics sections. Isn’t that weird? They kept their economics in general business sections, which meant wading through books on all the latest (or recent) pop psychology trends in business motivation.

About the PA Couple who got arrested for not tipping

I find this article interesting because of the idea of an implied contract.  Now, I'm not sure if its a state law when dealing with gratuity of large parties, but it is normally displayed on the menus.

Now, what if I run a resturaunt and I decide I'm going to force my customers to pay a 20% gratuity on all parties larger than 4 people?  Would I be in the wrong if I clearly displayed this and had called the cops to arrest people whom didn't pay for thieft?

Judge: Corps’ failure led to Katrina flooding

I just ranted on the liberty hotline about this article. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/34028940/ns/us_news-crime_and_courts  I am so tired of so called "hard working Americans" looking for a free ride.  THERE IS NO FREE RIDE!!!  I understand the angst against the army corps of engineers' neglect of the New Orleans infrastructure, but the truth is that they could have funded repairs themselves as a community if they were that concerned about it.  The money for the repairs would come from the federal budget ie taxpayers, just like a settlement would.  The upkeep of the canal is ultimately the responsibility of those who will be affected by its failure.

Central banks to be net buyers of gold

I just called the Liberty Conspriacy Hotline, and phone in my commentary on this story.  I just wanted to put up the link to the story, which states that gold is going to be going way up.  Wonder why?  Here my analysis in a future pod.

Here's the story!

Am I a hopeless slut?

I knew that subject line would get your attention.

Black Jack

Gard, I've heard you mention that you and your niece are fans of anime and manga but what are your thoughts on the series and the character of Black Jack?

Chris Matthews Acts As The Mouthpiece Of Authoritarianism…Again!

Chris Matthews does have something has something of a track record for acting like an authoritarian asshole bully. Back in August he attempted to verbally bash William Kostric & try to make out he was a nut for exercising his constitutional right & now he's being doing the same with a representative from the group of Oath keepers, a group wanting police, soldiers & government officials to adhere to the US Constitution.

Logical Arguments with the Broken Irrational

A little while ago I watched one of Dave Ridley's videos and started reading the comments as I can't seem to help myself. Scrolling through I noticed someone say that without "law" there is no such thing as "justice". This argument bugged me, because justice is obviously defined broader and the supposed purpose of law is to provide justice. Then he states that justice cannot be defined outside of law as a moral concept because morality is subjective. This person, his handle is p00lman, happens to be a common poster on Dave's videos so I've read his comments before and he is obviously a complete relativist and has no objective principles. The argument continues among the posters until it breaks down to childish lashes.

Getting To Ask Author Jon Ronson A Question

Abiout a decade ago journalist & documentary maker Jon Ronson wrote a book entitled Them which is a great book on political kooks & extremists & I do recommend people read it.

Anyways there's a new film out this week starring George Clooney 'Men Who Stare At Goats' which is based on a book which Ronson also wrote.

This afternoon he was doing a publicity interview for the film on BBC radio & guess who got to ask him a question concerning the documentary series he made in conjunction with his previous book Them?

Net Neutrality

I couldn't find any post discussing net neutrality so here we go.

I just wanted to point out that anyone who believes in net neutrality and also locks the front door on their house is a hypocrite. If you have the right to keep your door shut and not allow anyone in that you don't want, then a company has the same right to not allow internet traffic that they don't want. Although I don't believe restricting certain types of web traffic is good business practice; it is none of my business what a company decides to do with their property. If my next door neighbor doesn't let me in their house do I have right to call the police to force him to let me in. Then again the police do reserve that right for themselves.
