On Sept. 12th 2009 there is going to be a Tea Party march and rally in Washington DC.  It seems to be a very organized event and I hoping there will be a huge turnout.  Check out the details @ www.912dc.org.  There is alot of information here on hotels and events schedualed the couple of days leading up to the event.  They basically have it set up so that you get a whole package or just show up!  I hope to see many of you there...

Okay John Pilger is a Marxist & I'm not fond of Marxists but its not like Marxists are wrong about everything & full of utter bollocks. To his credit Pilger since the days of the Vietnam War has been staunchly anti imperialism & in opposition to military invention.

Brazil TV host 'ordered killings'

Police have accused a TV presenter in Brazil of being involved in organised drug trafficking and ordering killings to get rid of rivals and boost ratings.

Wallace Souza, who is also a state legislator, says the claims are an attempt by rivals to smear him and that there is no evidence to back them.

But the police say he ordered killings in the state of Amazonas and alerted TV crews to get them to the scene first.

His TV show was halted late last year as police stepped up their inquiry.

Few years ago the Lib Dem group on Liverpool city council proposed rating all films showing smoking with an 18 certificate (the top rating in the UK).

Well they're up to the same bullshit again

One thing I never hear brought up in soda tax discussions is that many overweight and obese people drink DIET soda.

They only want to tax regular soda.

One speculation I have around this subject is that in recent decades more and more people drink diet soda as if it's some kind of magic weight loss drink allowing them to double up on the burgers and fries.

It dosen't really suprise me they are looking at a new "sin" tax on soda. They have pretty much bled the smokers dry and now they are moving on to something new.
