HI
I wanna compliment you all for the good comments in this forum (have only read a smattering, but all are interesting and reflect some high-functioning people) and to praise the AUDIOS!

Citizen X -- I love it each time you're on. Makes me wonder if you have a degree in economics. Hope you return soon!
Mark Canney -- You express things as if you were born talking logic and liberty!
Ziggy -- You're witty, knowledgable and energetic. I really enjoy hearing the ideas you offer and the perspective from England and South Africa!
Isle Of Man Healthcare Deal With The British Govt

Veterans call for health rethink
Veterans on the Isle of Man are calling on the UK government to reconsider its decision to end a health agreement.
The reciprocal agreement is due to end on 1 April. After this date, residents must take out insurance when visiting the UK in case they fall ill.
The War on Toyota
As a loyal Toyota owner I've been somewhat dismayed at the media circus surrounding Toyota's product failures. When Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood announced that all Toyota owners should immediately stop driving their vehicles and take them into the shop, I thought something was afoot. Even coming from a government official, such a statement seemed extreme and rash. Well, it turns out that where there's smoke there's fire. And neither are probably emanating from under the hood of your car.

How much compromise is it "OK" for anarchists to make?
Over the last year, there has been a lot of discussion in libertarian circles over the purity of at least two candidates: namely Peter Schiff and Rand Paul. In my opinion, any support for a political candidate, is already a sort of compromise. Are there certain issues that are dealbreakers? I supported Ron Paul even though I had minor disagreements with him. What mattered for me was that he was radical on the important issues: War, Civil Liberties, Money and Banking, to name a few. Let's face it. If you support a State, you have to support taxes. I don't think you can have a voluntarily funded State that could be properly called a State. Back to Schiff and the younger Paul. They both seem to be squishy on foreign policy/wa
The Return Of Pablo
I was just watching Kitchen Nightmares with Gordon fucking Ramsey & well I saw during the ad break that the government is starting another run of this anti drug advert
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K54-kgkPyek
Now I’m not going to say that all anti drug adverts suck but what does suck is that nobody can buy ad time to put the case against prohibition.
Its 20 years to the day
Its 20 years to the day since this happened
There were days not long before that I thought I'd never see Mandela freed from prison.
/it seemed all those times I bunked off school to protest outside the South African embassy were worthwhile
I know around these parts that many have utter contempt for politicians
Yeah well I'm prepared to express a great deal of respect for Nelsen Mandela, but being South African I realised how important he was to the dismantling of the hideous & that he led South Africa thorough transition & rehabilitation, South Africa would not be the rainbow nation which is now prospering without the man.
The Arrogance Of climate change scientist
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/norfolk/8494497.stm
Professor Phil Jones, former director of the Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia (UEA), said his results "stand up to scrutiny".
Could Ulster Live Without Govt
It looks as if the Northern Ireland Assembly could be close to collapse & we all been told that if it did that the void would be filled with violence orchestrated by the provos.
Hmm could Northern Ireland survive without government?
Hey lets ask our resident anarchist from Northern Ireland
Wayne could Northern Ireland survive without government?
Oh by the way can I say it was fucking hilarious watching Peter Robinson having to make excuses for his wife for not being as prudish as the DUP like to preach.
If Tony Blair Lies Then he Could go To Prison But don’t expect Him To Tell You The Truth
Tomorrow (as I write this) Tony Blair is due to give evidence the ongoing Iraq Inquiry.
There are many in the anti=war movement who believe that Tony Blair should be arrested & prosecuted as a war criminal.
Tomorrow if in giving evidence to the inquiry if Blair lies then yes he could be jailed for perjury/ before anybody in the anti-war movement has any fantasy about Blair going to jail for lying his arse off, the problem is that Blair would have to be cauagt lying for that to happen & no doubt that Blair & his advisors have been rehearsing the answers he's likely to be asked.
Amazing DARE Cop Story From My Youth (one i had forgotten)
I first want to say that I cannot believe it took me this long to check out the conspiracy! Awesome stuff, wish I would have came here months ago.
Here is my story:
When I was in elementary school, I went through the normal DARE (Drug and Alcohol Resistance Education i believe) and one day, the normal DARE officer was not there to lecture us about the terrible effects of the evil weed and such. A friend of mine, who's father was a police officer with the same department, informed me that the reason the DARE officer was not in class today was because there was a standoff going on outside town with an armed man. "Wow! COOL!", though the little 12 year old joshuathesmart, "The cops are out doing cool cop stuff!"
the foreign job market
I'd like to hear gard's opinion on a recent conversation I had with a friend of mine. My friend was telling me about how he had read that the best places to work in the world are in european countries, such as france and italy. He said that this is because of the laws that these countries have that force businesses to put into practice certain standards regarding vacation time, wage, maternity leave, etc. Now, the ethical implications of this are obvious to anyone who values the concepts of personal liberty and property right, but unfortunately not everyone understands these concepts right away. My question for gard is, how do we go even further than the ethical implications and point the practical economic issues to my friend?
What Libertarians Consider Strong Others Consider Weak & Libertarians Need To Start Producing Credible Solutions
http://www.ziggyencaoua.org/?p=187
Anybody in Britain who saw the news headlines last Friday wouldn't of failed to of noticed the story concerning the two brothers being jailed indefinitely for torturing two young boys. Yet again questions are being asked by politicians, the media & the public, as to why when social services were aware of the circumstances of these two brothers, they didn't intervene far more in relation to their upbringing. This case & others asks hard questions for libertarians as well as exposing an uncomfortable truth for libertarians, which is what libertarians regard as government being strong the vast majority of the public regard as the government being weak.
Chinese crackdown on karaoke
from http://allmusic.com
Don't even think about singing 2 Live Crew in China. As part of a continued effort to crack down on "vulgarity and dissent," nearly 200 of the country's karaoke venues have installed the "National Karaoke Content Management System," which supervises the playlist and automatically alerts the police if a vulgar song is performed. Over 4000 new Criminal Offences Since Labour Came To Power In ‘97
Chris Huhne MP, the Liberal Democrat party home affairs spokesman (who I've met), says that since the Labour party were elected to power in 1997 they have created over 4000 new criminal offences.
Is Ron Paul Selling Out?
It appears that Ron Paul is endorsing a neocon thug against a congressional candidate endorsed by the Campaign For Liberty the very organisation he set up.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fV_oFQJ1VZY
It appears that the GOP party of Texas has some kind of by law stipulating that Paul as member of the Texas GOP must endorse the candidates which the Texas GOP decides to endorse or face expulsion.
Maybe he should think about joining the USLP & not endorse warmongers.
What Do You Really Think About People Who Receive Welfare
Just before Xmas I got laid off & I'm now on disability.
I'll admit this isn't the first time I've taken welfare but this time I feel such a hypocrite & I'm sure my critics will be chirping that I'm being so as I've often bitten the hand that's now feeding me.
I've long said I don't blame the people who use the system but blame the system itself as people will use whatever is available to their advantage.
Its not like I'm not willing to work but believe it or not my doctor would prefer it that I didn't, which goes for others who know me well & live in my geographical area.
Even when I was in paid employment they were all saying I was too disabled or too screwed up & that I need to be looked after.
