67 Year Old Woman Arrested for Unauthorized Gardening

I guarantee you that the Oak Cliff police department has far worse problems than this.  Murders may go unsolved, but rest assured the greenbelt is now protected from volunteer pruning.

What’s Happened To The Phone Pod?

Last weekend Furb told me that he was working on a phone pod & that it was probably going to be up by the end of the weekend.

When a phone pod wasn’t posted by Wednesday I then asked Gard what was occurring in regards to a phone pod, he emailed me saying it be up in the next few days, well here we are a few days later & still no phone pod posted.

I don’t want to be pushy about this or come over sounding like one selfish cunt but I’ve recorded a ton of stuff on the liberty line due to there being a general election going on here & the consequence of which I thought should be aired etc.

People You Don’t happen To Think Badly Of Who Don’t happen To Be Libertarian

There’s another discussion going on currently on the forum entitled ‘People I like who aren't necessarily libertarians’ & it somewhat disturbs me.

Happy Birthday Thomas Szasz

One of the greatest libertarians has just turned 90.  Here's Sheldon Richman's write-up.

People I like who aren't necessarily libertarians

There are a lot of people I like even though they may not be "pure" libertarians.  The reason I like these people is because they are honest straight-shooters and/or they do great work promoting liberty.  Feel free to disagree or add to my list.

David Martin, social critic, historian.  I first starting reading his articles during the Clinton Administration.  I would highly recommend "America's Dreyfus Affair"   http://dcdave.com/article5/

Americans for Tax Reform is a phony organization

Firstly, it is run by Grover Norquist who is and was an ally of Newt Gingrich, the quintessential Big Government Republican.

Secondly, any organization that gives Ron Paul an 85% and an 82% rating is suspect.  It seems as though their rating system is skewed towards a conservative interpretation of "less government".

Lastly, the pledge itself is a joke.

"I, _______________, pledge to the taxpayers of the _____ district

Nearly half of US households escape fed income tax. Wrong!

There was a recent article that has been making the rounds stating that 53% of Americans "escape" the income tax.

Was the band Mizterio rather than Misterio?

Hey Gard,

I found several hits for the band Mizterio.  Was this the band mentioned in your 4/13 show?

Here's the URL: http://www.mizterio.com

Could Somebody Please Educate My friend Shovel on the benefits of Globalization

In response to a conversation I had with Shovel which I thought was off the record she wrote this article

Globalisation is Bad for the UK - Libertarians just don't get it

Now I ain’t got the time right now to educate her on the merits of there being globalization but I thought there are libertarians such as myself who do support a global free market free from the constraints of nationalistic restraint & might know more then I the benefits of such a situation .

There’s going to a general election whoopee frigging do!

There’s going to a general election whoopee frigging do!

I seriously doubt come May 7th I’ll wake up to find that the hierarchical centralised form of government that feeds the rich & fucks the poor, will be in anyways be eradicated or even eroded.

Help needed from LC posters

Hey fellow conspirators,

As some of you may know, I'm releasing my 2nd horror novel, FLU, through Snowbooks at the end of April.

The book will be on sale in the UK throughout Waterstone's and Forbidden Planet stores, as well as Amazon and other online stores.

To spread FLU further, I was hoping you could, simply, list/ PM me the contact details of indie book stores in your area. I can then mail the store manager a signed copy of the book in the hope they may decide to stock FLU.

Big thanks to Ziggy who inspired this idea by talking to his local indie store (who have now agreed to stock the book)!

Thanks, everyone!
