One of the first LC shows I ever heard on LRN was one where you analyzed the Heller decision. I found it to be very interesting and insightful. After listening to the show since then, I have decided this is one I want to listen to again as well as share with a couple friends. Surly this was made into a podcast- but I can't find it in the podcasts on the main page. Is ther an archive somewhere?

Paying For British Gold
Even a cynic like me was overwhelmed by the performances of British athletes such as Mo Farah & Jessica Ennis. I’m sure the spirits of many people have been lifted by the golden performances of Team GB. I get that with all the doom & gloom there currently is in the world people need a distraction such as the Olympics, but ironically it could be because of the Olympics that there could be even more doom & gloom for people in Britain to have to cope with. Yes the performances of the likes of Mo Farah & Jessica Ennis might be amazing, but sooner or later the British people are going to have to pay for the consequences of the gold medals won by Team GB, the British people are going to have to pay for London hosting the Olympics.

Murdoch's Evidence To Leveson: Lefty Whingers Shut Up & Wise Up
Rupert Murdoch continued today to give evidence tp the Leveson Inquiry & in his testomy to the Leveson Inquiry Murdoch claimed that there was a cover up of illegal practices employed by journalists at News Of The World but it had been hidden from him. I wonder if his nose grew any whilst he was claiming that he had no knowledge of the illegal escapades going on at the News Of The World?

My response to Rupert Murdoch’s evidence to the Leveson Inquiry is yes & so what.
Yes & what a surprise it isn’t that the present Tory government might have been willing to to Murdoch & his media empire favours. Its not a surprise that this government got into bed with Murdoch, because lets be honest successive government both Labour & Tory have got into bed with Murdoch to buy the influence that his media empire potentially has upon voters & so any revelations which come the evidence given to the Leveson Inquiry how tenuous they might be that Murdoch had over government aren’t of any great surprise to me.
Am I The Only One Disturbed With All the Orwellian Crap Going On With The Olympics
It was announced lat month that there will be more British troops deployed on the streets of London during the running the Olympics then have ever been deployed in Afghanistan. The fact that there will 13,000 troops deployed on the streets of London during the Olympics which is several thousand more then have ever been deployed in Afghanistan, kind of begs the question are those attending the Olympics more of a threat then the Taliban?
As well as the more then 13,000 British troops that will be deployed to assist the police in the security operation during the Olympics there of course will already be thousands of police & of course nudge-nudge wink-wink other ‘security’ personnel in attendance.

IDK WTF I read the Huffington Post. I guess it is because I have unfettered access to the internet and a less than full task basket at work. I do derive some pleasure in finding typographical, grammatical, and usage errors by professional writers, but this goes beyond the pale.
In a story about The Shroud of Turin, what may have been the cloth in which Jesus of Nazareth was laid to rest after being crucified, the Huffington Post had this to say:

Proposed is supposed to be used as the past participle of the verb propose, which means: to intend; suggest a plan of action; or, to seek partnership in marriage. None of these definitions fits in this situation.
Your Kids Belong to the State!
So this is my first post in these forums, but a rant is good as any introductory post I s'pose. So what am I griping about? Those family shattering state beuracrats at the so called "Child Protective Services". Or as I tend to see them, the 'Family Police'. They are nothing but the State ghestapo we are all familiar with, but in particular, the arm that reaches into your home and tells you how you are to peacefully interact with your family.
Leftist hypocrisy regarding Dale Farm
Quite rightly many moderate lefties will protest about Israeli treatment of the Palestinians, but I find it curious that the moderate lefties I know haven’t been so vocal in protesting about the treatment of gypsies at Dale Farm, On the whole the lefties I know have been rather derisory about the situation ar Dale Farm, if not damn right racist!
