New! Liberty Conspiracy Party Line

Hey all:

As Gard wants to do roundtable discussions with CABAL members, I have set up a conference call system for the conspiracy.

When Gard schedules a discussion, at the appointed time do the following:

On your telephone call 661.673.8600

then enter 135215# to enter the conference

That will allow you to participate in the conference.

The system is set up so that the calls can be recorded.

Julian Assange has been arrested.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-11937110

I don't know why he was staying in the UK. They have an extradition treaty with us so the only worse place he could have been was here in the US! The chances this has anything to do with "sexual assault" are slim. .

On the other hand, being extradited to Switzerland puts him in, I believe, a neutral country that does not have an extradition treaty with the US. So maybe it's ultimately in his best interest?

Julian Assange - Patriot or Ratbag

Hello fellow conspirators. This is mothyspace speaking.

Just wanted to touch on the issue of wikileaks. I know Gard has already covered this, the story itself is still developing, as of this writing he has been arrested. Before he was arrested he wrote an article for the Australian as attached below.

Julian Assange's Australian article #wikileaks - http://bit.ly/fuVNN9

I think every conspirator should read this!

It obviously expands upon his views.

What is amusing though is the fact that the media have implied that Assange is anti-war, when in his article he asserts that he is not anti-war.

The Stasi Come to Wal-Mart

I wonder what future historians will think of the collective insanity that has engulfed America.  Will they wonder how an advanced society succumbed to irrational fear mongering?  I'm not a big fan of John Adams, but he hit it on the head when he said that fear is the foundation of most governments.

Wal-Mart public service announcement.

Why the U.S. supports Israel, Egypt, Saudia Arabia, etc., etc., etc.

Gard posed this rhetorical question in a recent podcast.  Seems especially ironic that the U.S. would arm antagonistic nations.

Of course, we all know why.  The federal government gives the foreign nation dollars with which to buy military equipment.  The foreign nation then turns around and buys the equipment from an American manufacturer--Lockheed, General Dynamics, Boeing, Raytheon, or whomever.  Or, the federal government gives the foreign government the equipment directly.  Either way, whether the foreign government acts as a middleman or if Washington pays for the equipment, American taxpayer dollars (or dollars printed up by the Fed) end up in the accounts of the politically connected military contractors.

Whoa! Assange is laying the smack down on the world govts.

Apparently he has some pretty heavy stuff he hasn't dropped yet. He sayshe'll drop some "insurance files" if the world doesn't stop trying to pull his site down.

Fun with staffers, S-510 Food Safety Bill

Every once in a while I feel like calling somebody up in Washington and poking them right in the cognitive dissonance.  I don't know if this type of thing will actually help them "get their mind right" but it does make me feel better :)

You might have to adjust your volume down a wee bit.

It would appear David Nolan has passed away. :(

Got this from Freedoms Pheonix.

Gard, every time I try to post a link from Freedoms Pheonix, I get a message that says, "Your submission has triggered the installed spam filter and will not be accepted." so I end up having to make another URL.

Ernie is a good guy. He was on The Tiny Political Show a bit once it became a round table format. I haven't had a chance to listen to the whole thing yet, but I'll finish it up during breakfast. Feel free to post any comments as I'm sure I'll have some.

Voluntary Governance

A little while back on one of the podcasts, Gard was talking to (I'm pretty sure it was) Glenn Jacobs and the topic of libertarian nomenclature came up, acknowleding some of the disadvantages of the terminology we are currently using. In the process, seemingly spontaneously, Gard even coined the phrase "voluntary governance." This was hilarious to me, because at that very time -- not the actual moment -- I was writing a piece making just that argument and promoting just that phrase as an alternative.

James Babb's Prescient Observation

I was just listening to the pod with James Babb from WeWontFly.com and was struck by his observation that the government's solution to the problem it created with the porno-scanners would be worse than ever, i.e. biometric I.D., background checks, etc.  Here it is already.  Ah yes, gotta love that Hegelian Dialectic!!

Please allow me to apologize for my stupid governor.

Oh yea, this guy is inane.

It's our stupid war on drugs that is causing the problems in Mexico. US government aggressing against the American people.

So, how does Rick Perry want to handle it? By having the US government invade the Mexican people...

FDA moves to ban Caffeinated Alocholic Beverages

A link from a USAToday article saying they want to ban energy drink style alocohol beverages, and I bet you can assume what arguement they use:  We got to protect the children.
