George Demands To Know How Much Is In The Bank

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/8127322.stm

George why bother asking how much is in the bank as we already know the answer?

There's fuck all in the bank we know this because national borrowing is rocketing!

Logical argument against the Federal Healthcare Plan

I generally use this argument with people who really aren't Socialist/Liberal but more like moderates and the only reason why they think they should support a Single payer healthcare system is because it will be cheaper that way. And it never fails.

mothyspace fundraiser?

Dear Conspirators:

Listening to today's pod, I am moved to to use some of my remaining economic liberty to help mothyspace's friend with the ear problem.

Mothyspace, if you have a paypal account, or chip-in set up. I will send you 5 Federal Reserve Accounting Units Denominated (US$).  I know it is not much, but if a certain percentage of the multude in the cabal and the other conspirators were to donate a small sum, it would be a little something that could help out, even if it doesn't cover the cost of the procedure, it might cover some essential items during your friends time of convalescence.

I encourage you to post a link to your on-line fundraising mechanism here.

Be seeing you,

The latest in the UK politician expenses row is...

http://news.aol.co.uk/minister-to-repay-41709-expenses/article/20090513062609990001

So, it's okay now, right? They've all said sorry and are paying back 'expenses' deemed unreasonable.

But who are they paying it back to?

Will I see less tax theft from my wages slip next month?

Of course not! It's going back into the Inland Revenue's piggy bank - no doubt to be recyled further throughout government nonsense or... and I can't decide which is worse... sucked up by the government's ever-increasing overdraft.

Hey, maybe the money 'paid back' will be used to bail-out some failing bank!

Obama's Offshore Tax Changes

Will the obama changes only apply to the traditional tax havens or will it apply in UAE as well?

Hard Money Base for China's Proposed World Currency?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/comment/ambroseevans_pritchard/516012...

I saw this while reading the Pirate Bay Story linked on the front page, and nearly crapped myself.  I never, ever even thought that a one world currency would be based on specie!

Chief Medical Officer (UK) pushes for minimum price for alcoholic beverages

This old fish, again:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/7945357.stm

I remember it raising its head a few years back. Seems the rather outrageous levels of tax on alcohol isn't enough for Mr Chief Medical officer.

So far, PM Brown isn't amused, but it'll not take much to swing him over, no doubt. He loves the Nanny State.

Daniel Hannan, MP, Southeast England - Audio and Video

Cats,

If you get a chance, please check out the audio in the podcast featuring Hannan and Congresswoman Michele Bachmann in their respective roles. The videos are linked for viewing at the bottom of the opening page of the website here. Hannan is masterful. Wait 'till you hear it!

EPA Shakedown of filling station owner

On the Liberty Conspiracy Podcast of 03/24/2009, Gardner spoke with a man named David Zlotec.

How do you spell that last name?

I will be writing a letter to the editor of the Union Leader, and contacting the various parties mentioned in said podcast.

The man being directly victimized by the "EnvironMENTAL Protection Agency" is named Edward Zlotec.  He owned the Mobil Gas Station on the corner of Hanover St. and Lake Avenue in Manchester.

Here is the contact information for the outlets mentioned in the 'cast:

EU Presidency: US Economic Plans 'A Way to Hell'

Someone had to say it...

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/EU-presidency-US-economic-apf-14737788.htm...

STRASBOURG, France (AP) -- A top European Union politician on Wednesday slammed U.S. plans to spend its way out of recession as "a way to hell."

Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek, whose country currently holds the EU presidency, told the European Parliament that President Barack Obama's massive stimulus package and banking bailout "will undermine the stability of the global financial market."

The first encouraging sign I've seen in a long time...

Lest they say it can't be done...I visited the Alamo this weekend.  And donated.

Obama Pushed Treasury Sec to Stop Bonuses for Bailout Bizess....

He's acting surprised people are pissed off about the bonuses?

And, of course, he doesn't have the capacity to discuss the free market principles being tested in these cases, from so many different directions.

Greenspan Supports Bank Nationalization - Lindsey Graham Agrees

I don't know what bothers me more - that Greenspan supports the nationalization of US banks, or that he's referred to as "the high priest of laissez-faire capitalism."

http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/633ab364-fd5e-11dd-a103-000077b07658.html

The US government may have to nationalise some banks on a temporary basis to fix the financial system and restore the flow of credit, Alan Greenspan, the former Federal Reserve chairman has told the Financial Times. In an interview with the FT, Mr Greenspan, who for decades was regarded as the high priest of laissez faire capitalism, said that nationalisation could be the least bad option.

Cost of Stimulus Bill to Individual Taxpayers

I'm looking for something I saw on FoxBusiness -  think it was Monday - on the cost of the stimulus bill, and the current budget.

It was a breakdown of the cost to individual taxpayers, broken down:

- Cost per individual

- Broken down by tax bracket

Both of these were figured as:

- Cost if being paid by taxpayer today in lump sum

- Cost if payed like mortgage, over time

My Brother is heading up Tax Resistence in Iowa

of course I am doing quite a bit back here in NH.

Republicans Trying to Fix Prices for Mortgages

http://www.foxnews.com/wires/2009Feb02/0,4670,StimulusHousing,00.html

...Meanwhile, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., told reporters Monday that Republicans would offer a plan to have the government step in to reduce mortgage rates to around 4 percent, which could shore up home prices and lower housing payments for millions of Americans.

"A stimulus bill must fix the main problem first, and that's housing," McConnell said. "That's how all of this began. We think you ought to go right at housing first."
