Not only is it anti-freedom (thus Anti-economic), it is also unconstitutional, running contrary to the 4th Amendment. There is nothing in the Constitution that grants the feds any power over immigration, yet the black robed oligarchs in the SCOTUS say that Arizona is perfectly fine if its cops pull detain people for a routine "check" and then check on citizenship status.

Nothing like that Fourth Amendment, huh?

In the "where ye been" department... Why is it that when the pop media finally decides to report something, libertarians have already been talking about it for ages? For about two years, we've been talking about how the Chinese gubment and big-time investors are avoiding US Bonds like leprosy. And we've explained why: because those bonds will be paid back with devalued currency, ie, WORTH-LESS... What are the entities buying US debt? Yeah, you got it, the FEDERAL RESERVE -- which just invents its money to buy the bonds -- and the banks is coerces... It's been manifest for a long, long time...

So, get this. They break the Constitution -- which is the thing they swear to defend -- and get involved in regulating air travel, then they break the 4th amendment and search you without warrants if you want to get onto a plane. And while they do this, they make you pay more and tell you it's a "service".

We must reiterate a point.

Some people have depicted opposition to the "contraceptive coverage" portion of the medical fascism law as mean, cruel, standing in the way of a "right" of women to have health problems covered. That misses the point. The point is that the medical fascism law FORCES, MANDATES private individuals/businesses to have to buy health insurance for their employees which will include in it something which the business owners find morally repugnant. Why force them? Why not leave them alone?

What if a pro-choice organization were forced by the government to pay for the religious beliefs of a born-again Christian working for it? Would that be fine? Of course not.

How small is small enough for a transaction to escape federal 'approval'? And since one's time spent on work effects the time he spends in all other aspects of his life, we can see that it is all one continuum, so should the feds step in to tell how we spend our free time, and make that subject to their approval? After all, it could effect our business and vice-versa. It's an endless problem, because they don't realize that our work-lives and our non-work-lives are all one thing: Our lives. As long as we are leading our lives peacefully, what concern is it of others?

The delay was probably caused by their sheer dearth of complaints. Right?

Many of the justices seem unimpressed with the arguents provided in support of the idea that the federal government can FORCE citizens to have to buy health insurance. They seem to rail against the idea that people can be compelled to buy something. They are correct. But will they apply that standard to taxation, which every day forces people to buy things they don't want? That's doubtful.

Ahh yes. Sen Reid has been grabbing money for this "high-speed rail" boondoggle for many a moon. Now, it looks like he'll get even more, thanks to the current Administration planning a 4.9 BILLION loan for the project.

Note the 15 Cent burden (it's probably more) of environmental regs (the main reason the gas formulas are changed so dramatically from winter to summer), and don't forget the ever-decreasing power of the Dollar to buy things. The Dollar might look like a good refuge for Europeans who are seeing their currencies collapse, but the Dollar itself is collapsing. The mirage of "health" for the Dollar is caused by the European currency looking even worse, and inspiring people to turn to the Dollar. The Dollar is dying as well, just check the prices for gas and food (which are no longer included by the government in the CPI index)...
