US Senate Passes Pork-Laiden "Bailout" Bill Authorizing treasury to Spend $700 Billion - Moves to House

Despite the fact that Article One of the US Constitution only allows the House to originate spending bills (and this kind of spending is clearly not sanctioned in the first place!), the Senate (with Judd Gregg pushing it heartily) attached their version of the "TARP" bailout bill to an already existing resolution. Sneaky, huh... It passed, and will now go back to the House.

Today, Sept 5 - El G Grande vs. McCain - Gard Will Not Make Friends in the RINO Circles - This Is a Necessary Battle

Gardner Goldsmith has made the decision that today on ATG, he will have to don the gauntlets and keep them on. There is no turning back now in exposing the sham that the Republican Party has become, and in expressing to people who still retain a shred of integrity that they CANNOT allow themselves to be seduced by the potential of "winning" the Presidential race, at the expense of principle, at the risk of insulting the memory of the men who gave their lives to write the US Constitution. It's possible that, on certain fronts such as taxes, John McCain could do some good.

FBI May Get Broader Powers to Investigate Americans WITHOUT Any Clear Suspicion, Plus, a Book for Conservatives

The Bush Administration won't stop until they have shredded the US Constitution's protections against unwarranted searches and seizures. The latest move is to propose much broader powers for the FBI to investigate Americans without warrants or probable cause. Sweeeeet!

Here is the article, from the NY Times:

5-26 Memorial Day - 'War' Myths

On Memorial Day, 2008, Gardner Goldsmith, author of “Live Free or Die”, took a tack that differed from many of his talk radio associates. He challenged the mainstream thinking about supposedly noble Presidents such as Abraham Lincoln and Franklin Roosevelt, and Gard questioned the rationales offered about the wars that were supposedly “thrust” upon them. In truth, they pulled the US government into war, and helped poison the US Constitution in the bargain. Listen, and read into it to find out more. It’s all from www.libertyconspiracy.com and “Against the Grain”

5-23 Texas n "Cults", BAD SONG!

On Friday, May 23, Gardner Goldsmith explored the flimsy rationales offered by the gub-ment of Texas for defying private property, freedom and even the statutes of Texas and the US Constitution to support its reckless handling of the polygamist sect case. Gard is in favor of voluntary societies, sans government, and he explains his reasoning here, exploring one facet of the way private industry and society better cares for kids. Then, Gard debuted for the audience the striking political song by Phranc, “Hillary’s Eyebrows”. Huh? Yeah, you got it! Check it out!

12-19: Energy Bill Disaster! (Seg one)

In this opening segment from “Against the Grain”, Gardner Goldsmith blasts President Bush and Congress for superseding consumer choice, for defiling the US Constitution, and for redirecting the flow of usable capital towards investments consumers would NOT have made!

The rest of this program was STELLAR! But the computers went on the fritz again! We hope to get another source of the audio so that you can hear more. It really was one of the best!

11-20 Rudy Sighting! - FCC Regs - Hill's Energy Plan

On Wednesday, November 20, Gardner Goldsmith caught up with Rudy Giuliani—for about five minutes. It was long enough for Gard and his sharp audience to notice that Rudy doesn’t really have that firm a grasp on the US Constitution. Troubling. Gard also went over Hillary Clinton’s energy proposal, as described in a recent article published in ‘Human Events’, and Gard covered some pretty scary stuff happening on the FCC front.

Mexican Truckers Can Deliver Items Without Being Extorted by US Trucking Competition - Nativists and Populists Are Up in Arms

The Ninth Circuit of appeals ruled Friday that Mexican truckers can continue to drive deeper into the US without having to give up their cargoes and transfer them to "American" truckers. The AFLCIO and teamsters are going crazy with anger, because, of course, they make money off consumers when the cargo has to be transferred to their labor members.

One wonders, however, why so-called "conservatives" are upset about this. Aren't they in favor of letting consumers get more with their hard-earned cash? Or are they in favor of handing unearned money to unions?
