NH Sexual Predator Law - Ex Post Facto and Dangerous -- Comments from a NH Law Enforcement Officer and Listener

The NH Sexual Predator Law Under John Lynch -- Ex-Post Facto Law -- Comments from a Law Enforcement Officer, and Fellow Conspirator:

After "Against the Grain" and its audience explored the problems of the new Sexual Predators law keeping sexual offenders incarcerated AFTER they had served their time under prior convictions, Gardner Goldsmith received this very interesting and insightful letter from a law enforcement officer who has some major problems with the application of this new standard on people convicted under DIFFERENT laws. This person has many years of experience, and understands the need for protection against sexual predators, but he also understands the concept of proper jurisprudence, and he has trouble with this law. He asked that his identity remain a secret, and Gard has agreed to his very reasonable request. Read his thoughts about this new standard of law, and wonder about the Constitutional restrictions against ex-post facto law.

Carter's Legacy: Iranian Nuke Threat Grows

As many Conspirators know, Iran has recently begun production of 3,000 new nuclear centrifuges (for its power needs, OF COURSE!).

This is only the beginning. Many intelligence experts have been aware for some time that Mahmoud Ahmadenijad has been intent on gaining nuclear weapons, and that he has not only threatened the destruction of Isreal, but all western nations tied to what he calls the "Zionist state".

The UN is, and always will be, ineffectual. Mohammed ElBaradei, head of the IAEA wants what he calls a "timeout" (!!), whereby the sanctions against Iran will be lifted if Iran pauses on its nuke work.

Texas Gov ORDERS All Govt School Girls to Get HPV Vaccine Shot

In the "what other things can government schools do to your kids" department, Rick Perry, the governor of Texas, has ordered that all girls attending Texas "public" schools be shot with HPV (human papaillomavirus vaccine).

Here is a quote from the AP Story:

'Perry, a conservative Christian who opposes abortion and stem-cell research using embryonic cells, counts on the religious right for his political base. But he has said the cervical cancer vaccine is no different from the one that protects children against polio.

“The HPV vaccine provides us with an incredible opportunity to effectively target and prevent cervical cancer,” Perry said.'

Gore Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize

Global Warming, Al Gore... Peace Prize.

Here is the story, from All Headline News:

US Senate Passes Minimum Wage Order, Reconciliation with House Next

The US Senate has done it again. They have spurned the ideas of the Founding Fathers and passed their own increase in the "Minimum Wage", $2.10 over two years. This matches the House version, but the Senate also passed tax breaks for small businesses, and Nacy Pelosi will not stand for that.

Here is something Conspirators will want to watch closely, and remember.

FROM THE AP:
By JIM KUHNHENN

WASHINGTON Feb 1, 2007 (AP)— The Senate voted overwhelmingly Thursday to boost the federal minimum wage by $2.10 to $7.25 an hour over two years, but packaged the increase with controversial tax cuts for small businesses and higher taxes for many $1 million-plus executives.

NH Sexual Predator Law - Ex Post Facto?

People completing their punishment under previous convictions for sexually related offenses in NH are now being held beyond their original sentences, under the new sexual predator law passed in 2006.

This has great legal ramifications.

Gardner Goldsmith explains.

Bobby Schindler on End-of-Life Issue

Bobby, brother to Terri Schindler Schiavo, recently spoke in New Hampshire about the importance of keeping an eye on how government handles supposed “living wills” and writes end-of-life legislation. His insight and energy are remarkable. In this conversation with Gardner Goldsmith, he discusses the circumstances surrounding his family’s fight to keep his sister alive, her health care, and how this has a bearing on other lives in the United States.

Hey Joe, Where You Goin' With That Foot in Your Mouth?

Hendrix didn't say it exactly that way, but...

The latest from plagiarist and socialist Joe Biden is his absurd statement about Barak Obama being exceptional as a black candidate because he is... Well, let's allow Ms. Fouhey (one of our favorites) to explain:

NEW YORK — Sen. Joe Biden spent his first day as an official presidential candidate regretting his description of Democratic rival Sen. Barack Obama as “clean,” and explaining why he had dissed Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and John Edwards.

Number 11: Historical Notes on Subverting A Constitutional Republic

Number Eleven has come across a remarkable document, written shortly after the founding of the United States under the Constitution. Many thanks to our fellow Conspirator for the discovery and research!

Here is the piece, written by Philip Freneau, a playwright of the 18th Century whose work mocked the British government:

--"Rules for Changing a Republic [into a Democracy, then] into a Monarchy"--

"Those who had opposed the constitution thought their fears justified by the
conduct of the government that began to function in 1789. Under the
aggressive leadership of Alexander Hamilton, the secretary of the treasury,
