This is insane! The FBI raided at least two data centres and seized the servers, equipment and data of hundreds of businesses, not just the target of the raid. As a result these businesses lost their data, could not process transactions and could not support their customers. Many businesses and individuals have been ruined by the disruption and loss of data. Just the thing we need right now, eh?

Public fears of immigration, crime and violence in Mexico are being used to further create a police state. ICE and ATF are now conducting random stops and sweeps INSIDE the US border under the pretext of "stemming the flow of guns" to Mexico! If the idiot journalists and politicians did their homework, they would realize that the grenades, rocket launchers and machine guns that are being used by the cartels in Mexico are not available to civilians in the US. (Which itself is an outrageous attenuation of the God-given right to keep and bear arms) The "90% US origin of firearms retrieved in Mexico" figure widely promoted in the media is a lie. The so-called US origin weaponry is coming from police and military armories in Mexico and Latin America - these military weapons were sold by the US government to foreign governments (many, no doubt, as part of anti-drug aid programmes) and later pilfered and stolen from the government armories.

Note that the Las Vegas Sun article calls for more investigation, inspection and regulation of health facilities. I'll spare them the effort. The reason why this is happening is because it is impossible for the government to provide a service and maintain quality. It's basic economics. In addition, staffing and other decisions are made on the basis of politics, not merit. The conditions in these government hospitals are on a par with third world countries. No amount of training or regulation will protect against a lack of common sense and integrity. Come on- they are reusing needles and not sanitizing the colonoscopy equipment!
