Yep. A new story discovered by Gardner Goldsmith - a story revolving around a partisan squabble over the appointment of an FEC commissioner - reveals what we might not have really articulated. The very “watchdogs” in the FEC who are supposed to be monitoring the campaigns of all those nice and innocent people running for public office, have appointments APPROVED by the politicians they are supposed to monitor!
