Fascism on the March: FDIC Seizes Two More Banks, Total Failures in 2009 = 28
As indicated in the Liberty Conspiracy Audios, the Securities and Exchange Commission will investigate and possibly fine individual US citizens if they disclose the names of investment houses or lending institutions that are in bad financial shape. Soooo, the first amendment is all but done on that front. Enjoy freedom. Then, the federal government, which is telling us that IT is keeping track of the solvency of the financial world, that veery same fed gubment tells us that they will not release any specific information in that regard. Nope. No specifics, kids. Just fly blind when it comes to the risks of the market. Nice. Not only does government involvement in the market warp the price feedback mechanism that teh free market requires to allow people to make informed decisions, NOW, it won't even allow the public to see the information about how it is messing with that price mechanism, and facilitating new financial failures.
All we get are reports like this, happening after the fact, describing to us events as if it were a reality TV series, where the FDIC comes in as the supposed 'savior' of peoples' deposits, taking over the banks that MUST have been run by unscrupulous capitalists who over-extended themselves and ran their banks into the ground.
As we know, it is the government that has either inspired risky loans and risky policies at banks and mortgage houses, or has FORCED banks to give loans to people, as with the pressure that has recently been applied to the well-run bank, East Bridgewater Savings, in Massachusetts. East Bridgewater has turned a profit in the last year, with NO defaults. nd guess what, the federal gubment has cited the bank for not handing out enough loans to minorities and people in high risk earnings ranges!
So, you might have friends who wonder why the FDIC is taking over these banks. Look no further than the FDIC, the federal Reserve and the entire federal government concept.
