Another Example of the Anti-Constitutional Behavior of DC Politicians -- More Debit Card Regs

This time, the politicians in the Senate (a species known by their scientific title as Conceitus Giganticus) has voted to force credit card companies to reduce their fees for debit charges. Guess what will happen? Yeah, you got it, higher charges elsewhere, fewer options for consumers... It's all been seen before. Last year's "Credit Card holders' Bill of Rights", that passed with numbskull bipartisan support, merely inspired the credit card companies to shift costs and fees, and offer fewer special bonuses to customers.

Why not get the government out of the financial business, and all businesses for that matter...

Some people don't trust big businesses. They need to realize that in free markets, big businesses still have to compete for customers, while under a fascistic paradigm as we have in most nations, especially in the US, political infulence (which the left-wing thought would handle their fears of big businesses being "unfair") always makes things worse, by stifling competition, restricting choices, and playing favorites with big businesses at the expense of consumers.

What is depicted as a political move to "protect consumers" today will harm them tomorrow. It is an economic axiom because, by definition, such regulation precludes consumers making the choices themselves. It supplants political decisions for market decisions, and concetrates power in the hands of a small group of people who are completely disconnected from the needs and desires of the consumers.

When did Chuck Schumer need a loan to start a business? When did Harry Reid get up at 4 am to prepare for a meeting that actually involved the VOLUNTARY exchange of money?

Seriously looking at these thoughts can give one a better understanding of the nature of government, which is FORCE.
