US Sen. Rand Paul Prohibited from Flying, Detained by Local Cops at Nashville Airport

The presence of the TSA in the airports is unconstitutional and presents a false dichotomy, a false choice of a pat down or a scan -- both being infringements of the 4th Amendment. They claim that by wanting to get on a plane, you willingly give up your rights against unWARRANTED searches and seizures. They claim that the federal government has jurisdiction over air travel (false). They "run the airways", so you must submit to their demands if you want to fly.

But, as we have said here before, the governments (federal, local and state and county) also claim jurisdiction over the roads. They could just as easily stand at the end of your driveway or front steps and tell you that if you want to drive or walk on the roads and sidewalks they "run", you will have to submit to a scan or a grope. After all, terrorist activities have occurred via the roads, and we must be "protected"...

Both situations come about due to unconstitutional actions of the government and due to the assumptions most people seem to have that it is appropriate for government to run the airways, roads, etc. We must show people the errors in such goose-step thinking.
