Tasteless NH Democrat Rep Says "Anime" Shows that Two Nukes on Japan Wasn't Enough?
Check this out. This pinhead has done this kind of thing before. (Please note the source is a Republican party release, but it is verfied...) Not only is he tasteless, he doesn't even get Anime!
UNHINGED: NHGOP CONDEMNS REP. LEVASSEUR’S LATEST VIOLENT COMMENTS
CONCORD – New Hampshire Republican State Committee today condemned Representative Nickolas Levasseur’s (D-Manchester) latest disturbing online post and called on Governor Lynch and Speaker Norelli to personally denounce his shocking behavior. Over the weekend it was revealed that Representative Levasseur posted comments on his MySpace page that encourage violence against “neo-Conservative Reaganite” Republicans (NowHampshire, 3/28). Last week Mr. Levasseur touched off a political firestorm when he wrote on his Facebook page that “anime (a Japanese cartoon genre) is a prime example of why two nukes just wasn’t enough” (RedHampshire, 3/25):
“Representative Levasseur’s series of violent comments are deeply disturbing and raise serious questions about his temperament. Governor Lynch and Speaker Norelli must personally condemn his shocking statements and call on members of their Democrat party to stop participating in such shameful behavior,” said NHGOP Communications Director Ryan Williams.
A saved version of Mr. Levasseaur’s MySpace page reveals that the troubled Representative lists “the hunting of neo-conservative Reaganites (a shooting sport brought to you by the republican party in more ways than one!),” in his personal interests section. Levasseur immediately disabled the MySpace page after his Facebook remarks were criticized.
In response to Mr. Levassuer’s “two nukes” statement, the New Hampshire Democrat Party threatened to call for the his resignation if any further troubling comments were exposed.
"We would expect him to step down from his seat if this happens again,” a Democrat Party spokesman told the Union Leader (3/28).
“Governor Lynch’s Democrat Party needs to honor their word and hold Mr. Levasseur accountable for his troubling comments. They need to make it clear that these violent statements are completely unacceptable and have no place in public or private discourse,” said Williams.
