Louie Bellson, One of the Greatest Drummers in History, Dead at 84. RIP, Mr. Double Bass!

Listening to him was like hearing TWO men playing simultaneously. He was a titan, playing long into his eighties. Only Gene Krupa, Buddy Rich, and, perhaps, Carl Palmer, Keith Moon, and Neil Pert can lay claim to being so fast, so dextrous and so spot-on with the other musicians.

Rest in peace, Mr. Bellson.
