The National "Defense" Authorization Act has passed its Senate-House Reconciliation.
It allows the Defense Dept and White House to imprison US citizens and non-US citizens INDEFINITELY, WITHOUT HABEAS HEARINGS (in the Constitution, only Congress can lift the Writ of Habeas, and only at times of rebellion or insurrection)...
President Obama WANTED this provision in it. It looks like all the left-wing claims of "Civil Libertarianism" he and his supporters spouted can now be completely disregarded. He has continued EVERY major Bush infringement of civil rights, and amplified them. I wonder how many conservative talk radio hosts will discuss this. They always criticize the Obama Admin, but in this case, I think they will remain mostly mum, because they LIKE the idea...
