From the 4th of January VAT has risen to its highest ever level of 20%

As ever with any blanket tax its going to hit the most vulnerable in society & VAT is just that a blanket tax.

Though people seem to think that food stuffs are excluded from VAT but this is isn’t actually true, though there are some exclusions on food products even when there are exclusions on particular items those items will still go up due to VAT being added to transportation costs etc.

Well this government in particular do seem help bent on having the most vulnerable in society to pay the economic mess this country is in, when in fact it should be the bankers & their politician mates as they got us into this fucking mess.

Once upon a time somebody set a gun on the table.  And so we all sat there looking at this gun in suspicion of our fellow man who we had been taught was no damn good.  We knew that if we do not grab this gun first, somebody else might.  So in that scenario any use of the gun would qualify as self-defense, for were we not to grab it, surely somebody else would do so to use it against us.  We had no choice, we were only doing our job.  In the scramble that ensued came about the VAT.  So now those who are not inclined to grab the gun, certainly may be served up as lunch for those who do.

I think I remember John Locke saying that it was good that we put down our own guns and come to the table to share only one common gun.  I think back now and wonder if I had come to the table with my own gun, if I might still be sitting there having tea and enjoying the company of others in peace.
