Although this is my first contribution to the Liberty Conspiracy website, in the year that I've been a member, trust me when I say I'm constantly out there spreading the good word.

With that said, I'd like to share something wonderful that happened at work today.  I'm a self employed contractor who works with my father.  We both listen to conservative talk radio (99.7 WNTK) all day long.  Those hypocritical talking points (along with FOX News channel) are my dad's only basis of political knowledge.

Today he decided to help me paint a costumer's deck, but both of us forgot to bring a radio.  That's when I saw fit to break out the iPod with the cheap, battery operated, mini-speaker system.  Rather than trying to find a particular genre of music that we could agree on, I played one of Gardner's podcasts.  The (Liberty Conspiracy - 8-19-09 News Update, Frank Gets Testy About Fascism? Leftists Want "Debate" on Health Care?) podcast to be exact.  Not even 15 minutes into it he puts down his brush and says "You, know what?  I think I'm going to join the libertarian party.  This is so logical."  (hey... it's a start)

"YES!" I thought to myself.  I spent the entire day, picking and choosing Gard's podcasts while I witnessed my dad absorbing it like a sponge.  What better way to meditate on a subject than with a paintbrush in hand?  All day long he constantly chimed in with a "Hey, I agree with that."  or "I never thought about it that way before."  Even on hot topics like illegal immigration he was in total agreement.  He heard Gardner mention the Liberty Conspiracy T-shirts and said he wants one lol

I'm thinking of putting together a compilation of these podcasts on a CD to share with my computer-less comrades who otherwise have to hear my convoluted/inarticulate attempts at discussing liberty-oriented ideas.

Hey Gard, keep up the great work!  ^___^

That is AWESOME!  It is kind of ironic that Gard used to work at WNTK and that is where I met him.  What a great story!  Thanks for sharing.

I know Gardner will appreciate your story.  I called the Liberty Conspiracy Hotline ( 206.984.1069 ) and read your entry into the voice-mail recorder.

I like your writing style.  I think you illustrated your point in a very moving way.
