Prisons are over crowded enough without sending somebody to prison for making stupid comments on Twitter, but that is exactly what happened today & not for the first time.

Okay the comments this guy made were sickening specially considering the situation but there is such a thing as the right to free speech or at least I thought thee was such a thing as free speech but it looks as if its long dead in this country because as I say this isn't the first incidence of this happening.

Yeah, I saw that BBC article on the sentencing.  It said the guy was lead away from the dock in tears.  Well, I don't think we are too far away from that sort of draconian anti-free speech here in the US. I'm just waiting O'Brien to escort me to room 101.

Arizona legislature is trying to pass a bill that states

"It is unlawful for any person, with intent to terrify, intimidate, threaten, harass, annoy or offend, to use a ANY ELECTRONIC OR DIGITAL DEVICE and use any obscene, lewd or profane language or suggest any lewd or lascivious act, or threaten to inflict physical harm to the person or property of any person."

I love that "annoy or offend" thats in there. Its actually already passed the house and senate and awaiting the approval of the governor.
