So how personal do they want to get? When does it become too personal?

So, when this cold snap hit, El Paso was prolly the least prepared for it. We are the Sun City for a reason.

Anyway, the public schools have been closed since, I think, Tuesday. Last week it was to coserve power, now it will be closed again tomorrow to conserve water.

http://www.kvia.com/news/26762982/detail.html

The city government of El Paso has put the city under a "water emergency" and are only allowing us to use the water for drinking. If you read the article, it says we can't even shower.

Isn't it a little personal that the Mayor of El Paso can decide that I can't take a shower? Next they are gonna tell me I have to be vaccinated!

...oh wait.

The other irony is this happens on Super Bowl Sunday. City water supplies around the country always take hits on Super Bowl Sunday due to everyone rushing to go to the bathroom at the same time....during the commercials. lol

No shower?  Yeesh.  It says some people may also have issues with flushing their toilets due to low water pressure.  If that keeps up I'm predicting it could get pretty stanky down around there!

See this is where good reporting comes in.  They should go stick the microphone and T.V. camera into the mayor's face every day "Mr. Mayor, did you take a shower this morning sir?"

Well, forget that. I boiled some water and took a bath in my bathroom sink. We've had no hot water at all since Saturday so the last time I washed my hair was Friday morning. Like hell I'm not going to bathe. If I have to pay taxes then I have to bathe.

That totally sucks. Funny we were on extreme water restrictions here in Queensland too. The flood and cyclones fixed that!

We also have lots of water problems here in Northern Indiana.  The problem is how to get rid of the water, and who is going to take it.  Local politics often revolve around the county drainage official who's office is a taxing body.
