Previous Geolibertarian Podcast
More then two people have asked me about the podcast where Gard interviewed Ed Joyce & myself on geolibertarianism.

I think as we put over the concept over pretty concisely it would be a good listen for people
Hopefully if Gard is willing a roundtable discussion via Skype could be arranged in the near future.
I'm listening to it now. Good stuff all round - a great discussion generated. Good questions from Gard leaving everyone comfortable to put their cases across without being compromised. If only all discussions/ debates went like this, we'd get a lot more out of them :)
By the way, very interesting website to share:
The Alliance of the Libertarian Left is a multi-tendency coalition of mutualists, agorists, voluntaryists,
geolibertarians, left-Rothbardians, green libertarians, dialectical anarchists, radical minarchists,
and others on the libertarian left, united by an opposition to statism and militarism, to cultural
intolerance (including sexism, racism, and homophobia), and to the prevailing corporatist capitalism
falsely called a free market; as well as by an emphasis on education, direct action, and building
alternative institutions, rather than on electoral politics, as our chief strategy for achieving liberation.

Another reason why the terms 'left' and 'right' can often be misleading, I suggest. I think the 'left' and 'right' of libertarianism and voluntaryism have much more in common than some may suggest. This podcast, I believe, highlighted that wonderfully.
Again, nice work all involved.
When Mark & Gard interviewed an individual from that group they didn't seem keen on georgism
But sayiong that I know Kevin Carson is invled ~& I think he is a geolibertarian
Was that on FTL, Zig? Do you have the link handy - I'd love to listen to that interview.
i think it was the Friday night of the liberty Forum back in March
In fact it was the weekend before Gard flew over because i remember telling Gard on the Tube that I thought David Friedman sounded like a total asshole & that was the Saturday night edition.
Just listened to the Charles Johnston (The Alliance of the Libertarian Left) interview with Gard and Mark at the Liberty Forum - and it blew me away! I really get this guy, he's singing from a very similar hymnsheet to myself. I felt that Gard spoke very eloquently about how different variations of Libertarian are not a stumbling block, how we should focus on the things we agree on and allow the finer details to be ironed out at a community level on down the line. That's exactly how I see it.
Wonderful stuff and congrats to Mark, Gard and Charles for such a grade-A interview.
By the way, just checked out Charles' blog - it's really cool:

The only reason geolibertarianism got mentioned is that I messaged Mark to ask about it
