I love the show, find myself being drawn in more and more, nearly becoming an addiction now. I don't know if I could go without news from Gard. I also love the great music on the show, but sometimes find myself focusing more on finding out what was just played than the economic or social content of the show. With Gard's background in radio, I would think that he would stick with letting the listeners know what was just played or what is coming up. Maybe it's just me? I listen via iCather! for the iPhone, and just found out that the Soundhound app works to hear what's playing. This is how I found out that the great song I just heard was the Killing Joke's Great Cull. I can't believe I hadn't heard that before.

Gard has one of the best shows out there and his music pics make it fun. Where else are you going to hear 'Young Fast Iranians' sung hair-band style by some Boston locals - NO WHERE!

He has done a lot of great podcasts and covered in depth many of the pressing issues of our time. Not many talkers out there are gving you this angle, not like this. Best of all, he knows his subject matter and does not blather on about topics that he has no business talking about.

If you feel you missed the libertarian take on any social or economic issues he is talking about because you were distracted by some strange and bumpin song that you never heard before, check out the archive and you will probably find an in-depth lecture on the topic.

This stuff is gold, and it helps me keep my sanity to know that there are still some logical thinkers doing real analysis instead of whipping up division.

I love the music! Great show also, but it's great to hear some stuff I haven't thought of in years! Whats the chance of getting a play list?

Thanks you, all! I keep trying to add new material, while bringing back some songs and, at the same time, trying not to over-play them!

You cats ROCK! :-)!!

Love the music, but I would like to know who it is. I'm young and never really listened to rock, I like almost all of this music though. I was wondering what the name was of the song with the same intro of Prisoner by Iron Maiden, I think the first line is "I know what heaven knows".

Hi, Nick!

Cool that you liked that segment! The music is by Love Spit Love, from their second disc called "Try Some, Eat One". It's Richard Butler's second band, something he started when he put the Psychedelic Furs on a hiatus. That tune is called "More Than Money". Really good stuff. I love how they bring the guitar in and overmodulate it intentionally after he says "I.. know..." The guitaris is named Richard Fortis. And the voice I laid over that is Patrick McGoohan, from his classic UK TV series, "The Prisoner", which is a libertarian-anarchist masterpiece!
