I wasn't aware that rejecting aggression on principle was a 'bad habit' and made me blind to the complexities of reality. Stereotypes are not arguments. They do not support the more informative critique you imply.

Bellamy proves as much. Whatever good Bellamy might promote in the name of liberty, it is not an incongruous notion to identify the contradictions in his thinking. The direct nature of my critique should not require a concern for the sensibility of potential readers. You can make your position known directly without tripping over presumptions.

Yeah, I think you all have good points, and that PP says it well that one can recognize the positive things Matt B does for liberty, while also pointing out inconsistencies in his reasoning that deviate from his general worldview.
In this thread, the quotes of Bellamy indicate that he is obviously a very bright and thoughtful guy. One merely wishes that he would look towards the free market (freedom in general) to set up and test these kinds of payment schemes, rather than having them imposed by force of government (which, as was pointed out, is the very construct he often decries). This inspires one to think about how Bellamy's position (if instituted privately, through the market) runs counter to the government motif of so-called "Net Neutrality", which would prohibit ISPs and browsers from providing higher levels of service for a premium price. if only he would talk about trying his idea out in the private market, he could then speak out against the "NN" movement, in favor of letting markets provide different levels of service to different kinds of demand.

I think I, along with many anarchist types, can get waaaay too into the whole drama of shouting folks down, as opposed to encouraging where they come close to the ideal we aspire to.

I wonder why the concerned authorities are not taking any actions. As Matt Bellamy said, the end result will be a taxed, monitored ISP based on usage which will ensure both the freedom of the consumer and the rights of the artists. I think the concerned authorities didn’t take his opinion seriously.
