Congratulations to Gardner!  His book has been selected by participants of the Freedom Book Club as the 2008 Second Chance Book.

I will be sharing my thoughts here when I get caught up in my reading.  I'm sending out the alerts now, to those subscribed to the club's list.  I look forward to your thoughts on the book.

I've read a few books in libertarian thought, Gard, and I find yours to be not only the biggest book I own on the subject (Amazon needed a trolley to deliver it to me lol) but also the most accessible.

I don't claim to be anything of a financial wizard - 'dem nubbers 'fuse muh - but you break everything down into bite-size portions, so that even a quasi-dimwit like me can grasp the dark arts of inflation vs deflation, and other binary-based magicks.

In fact, you make market based economics come alive to me.

It's a mighty fine book - well done on the selection.

I think that this will inspire me to buy! No slight, but my time's pretty limited, and I don't get to read much. The comments here and the move by Freedom Book Club jolted me. THX!

Just read an article re: Gardner's experience at Voyager, and the way the enterprize must trade, when encountering a market type situation.

Since the new Star Trek Film is about to go into theatres, it would be great if Gard would make this into a stand alone audio production.

Yeah, I too really enjoyed that particular essay. It would make a GRADE-A audio, and very possibly hook in a few trekkies to the LC.

Thanks for the thought, Furb, and thanks for the back-up, Wayne!

I'll record it tomorrow, so it'll be a portable audio!

I love when people talk about food.  Just read the article re: Obesity.  When will those in gov't stop interfering with market participants?  When we are all in jail?

I'll edit this later with more specific ideas,   It seems that the government wants to demand that consumers choose to buy fruits, veggies and wholegrain musli.  All this equates to a dumpster full of fruits and vegetables that are rotten, not consumer choice or health.
