Liz always seemed a delightful individual & an individual who was very loyal to Dr Who.
I commend Russell Davies for bringing her back into Dr Who because Sarah Jane was very much of the Dr Who era which we both love so much.
Sorry i was the one of had to tell you dude.

This is the worst news. Tom Baker and Liz Sladen were the first Doctor Who/Companion that I ever watched. She was pure magic. In some of the interviews I've seen, she also seemed like a great classy lady. I am completely shocked.

Relinquish liberty for the purposes of defense in an emergency?
Why? It would seem that in an emergency, of all times, one needs
his greatest strength. So if liberty is strength and slavery is weakness,
liberty is a necessity rather than a luxury, and we can ill afford
to be without it—least of all during an emergency.

Gard,
Your comments at SFX expressed exactly how I feel. Thank you. I only wished that I could have met her.
I’ve fond childhood memories of both Sarah Jane & the Brigadier, both of whom have died in the last few months, but fond memories will never die.
Talking of memories wonder if anybody remembers K9 & Company
If I remember right sarah Jane & K9 did battle with a bunch of satanists.
I think it was the first attempt of a Dr Who spin off series but never made it past the pilot
