James Brown was an amazing musical innovator, who was seminal to the musical foundations of Funk, ska, rap, soul, and even afrobeat.  Thanks for sharing that second video, as I had not seen that before.  Awesome horns!  James Brown is said to have had an almost inanate ability to pick up any instrument and play it masterfully.  I've been a fan of the empowering lyrics, Soul Power, Say it Loud, and other songs.

Ha ha!  Hell ya furb!  At work they wanted to get people to express themselves, so they passed around index cards and told us to write down our names and something that nobody would know about you.  I wrote "I got soul, and I'm super bad!".

Yo! The last vid you posted has some mega awesome bongo action!  The handspeed of the bongo player is off the hook.

Here is a messed up vid of JB on Playboy After Dark.  JB looks like a young Mike Tyson, and has whole room of hot white chicks chanting.  It is awesome!

Brainwashed, are you going to have an entry for song vs. song?  I would love to hear what you are listening to.

Hm.  I've been thinking about it for quite some time now, and I'm still unsure.  I aim to please, but I know you cannot please all the people all the time.  At first I thought how kick ass it would be to hear Pennywise in song v/s song.  After Jason from Sakal CAI chose PW and was beat by Bile, I threw my arms up thinking I must not have my finger on the pulse of the freedom loving communities music intrests.  I am under the impression that quite a few conspirators are into what I consider "glam metal" and it would bug the shit out of me if a song I chose was beat by a newer, really fast "Winger".  Another aspect that has me puzzled is the lyrics and whether or not more freedom oriented lyrics would be beneficial.  Once again I bring up the PW song Jason chose "Fuck Authority".  There was a post in the forums in which I felt the author had taken the lyrics to the song Jason had chose a tad bit too critically.  I can understand why they had felt that way, however I also imagined that type of person would shoot down a song I had chosen based on the same criteria.  Or even if it is a really kick ass song, but the band seems to lean to the left, that would most likely be frowned upon as well. - for example Freedom by RATM.  It also seems that just when I think I have the most perfect track I think of another one that might be better.  Anyhoo, it's all in good fun.

Wait, you were being sarchastic weren't you?

Ha! cool man!  I'm torn between KMFDM and Melvins.  Okay right now I'd chose Revolved by the Melvins.. However I'm also thinking of Craze by KMFDM.  however that is subject to change everytime I scroll through my mp3 player...
