Obviously I’m aware that Ron Asheton didn’t play lead guitar on Raw Power & so in the tributes to Ron there’s been absence of tracks (including Gard’s) of materiel being played from that album.

When The Stooges reformed they seemed to avoid playing any tracks from that period & that album, which I thought was a real shame because Raw Power is The Stooges best album.

The first five tracks just blow you away the first time you listen to it & it’s a shame that its been kind of erased from The Stooges best.

Who else is with me think that?

Howdy!

The reason might have had something to do with the fact that James Williamson played a lot of the guitar tracks on that, and Ron Asheton was on bass. As a result, when they got back together, they might have skipped some of those songs because Ron was playing guitar on the tour.

Personally, my all-time favorite by the Stooges is "I Gotta Right", followed by "Loose"!
