It amazes me that so-called "middle America" is still shocked by hard music performed by a guy with a lot of energy. That's what ROCK IS!

In the early 80's I was just getting into the 'Punk' thing. One day, I was rifling through my sister's record collection when i found 'Raw Power' (Iggy & the Stooges). Needless to say she never got that record back!

Yeah raw Power had a big impact on me when I first heard it & it still think its one of Iggy's best

Few years back I was watching the Glastonbury Festival & it had been really dull until late Saturday evening & The Stooges took to the second stage & their performance gave a kick up the arse to the whole festival

 

it was the stand out performance of that year's Glastonbury festival & I go on the evidence that people actually message me saying wow! now I see why you like Iggy Pop

In this vein Gard, I watched the current Midnight Oil Youtube clip you have on the frontpage. Whilst I'm not enamored with the front man and his socialist ways, his performance in his 80s heyday was simply facemeltingly spectaculon!
