Hey what happened to the thread I put up about the Murdoch Press scandal?

IDK about the thread, but is seems pretty bad, seeing as the chief of the blue light gang in Metro London resigned, and Murdoch's right hand lady has been arrested.  Piers Morgan is in a bit of jam, as a blogger allegedly has evidence showing that he ordered/had knowledge of hacking going on when he was an editor of one of Murdoch's rags.

I don't trust most of the reporting going on at establishment papers, but it's because much of what they report is not that important.  I imagine that if a paper in Salt Lake City hacked the phone of my missing daughter, I'd be bull shit, and some pencil necked reporter/hacker would be paying with a trip to the emergency room with a broken face.

I feel like there needs to be a two step process by those that want to dimish the impact of the press: first to disassociate oneself from those engaging in it (boycott the publisher engaged in the activity); secondly, start reporting the news yourself.  This is easy to do via twitter, a website, blog or vlog.

It doesn't take that much effort to blog, but it may take some collaboration with other people to attract an audience.  I'm not so much into hard news, but occasionally I write about that sort of thing, like when there were two people shot in my neighborhood (one died), I posted in on my facebook profile.  There was also an incident in my neighborhood, about a year ago, where a toddler was struck and killed by a corn on the cob vendor.  Generally there isn't much bad news to report in the day to day life of people.

I've tried to get press passes to various events (like the Lady Gaga concert I went to in March), but was unable to get an interview, but that doesn't mean I'll stop trying.  I've been credentialed by Mr. Goldsmith to be an agent of LibertyConspiracy.com and have them on me at all times, so if I see anything of significance, I can feel a little more emboldened to try and get answers from people.  I can guarantee you that I won't be hacking anyone's phone in my attempts to get the news.
