Citizen X on Freedom Watch
Citizen X,
Good job on Freedom Watch. I only wish the Judge hadn't had the vile statist Ann Coulter on. He could have given you the extra time and not asked you such softball questions.

Relinquish liberty for the purposes of defense in an emergency?
Why? It would seem that in an emergency, of all times, one needs
his greatest strength. So if liberty is strength and slavery is weakness,
liberty is a necessity rather than a luxury, and we can ill afford
to be without it—least of all during an emergency.

Thanks, Spoon. I had to give Gard a hat tip by mentioning that the Constitution was inherently flawed!!
Judge Napolitano is awesome! Sort of reminds me of Judge Narragansett from Atlas Shrugged.
The great non sequitur committed by defenders of the State, including classical Aristotelian and Thomist philosophers, is to leap from the necessity of society to the necessity of the State.--Murray N. Rothbard
I really don't live the TV version of the show. Too many guests. Too many interruptions. I'm getting the impression that the Judge is holding back. Or worse, he is being held back. While I'm not the biggest fan of John Stossel (too Cato/Reason for me), his show has a lot more time set aside for real discussions.
Yeah, originally I was supposed to be on for like 10 minutes...it was more like 4.
The Judge reminds me of that cuddly uncle every family seems to have, the one who dresses up as Santa come Xmas.
