Loved the article.  I'm originally from Mississippi as well, and I've always your comments on FTL to be particularly insightful.

Hey Robert, that's a wonderfully written article - I really enjoyed reading it.

It bears *some* similarity to the neighbourhood where I grew up, in Northern Ireland - community leaders here (for better and for worse) had (and still have) a lot of power, and often would have used such to police the area.

Anyway, I look forward to reading more of your work.
