This is really sad.  I'm sure Ms. Winehouse made some bad decisions, but the consequences of those decisions are greatly magnified (in the negative) when it comes to drugs due to their being deemed illegal.

A long ways back I did a podcast about this topic as the result of the death of a true friend of mine from accidental overdose of heroin.  It has taken a long time for me to sort of get over that.  I'm sure that many of Amy Winehouse's friends and associates are bereft.  Some of those people probably feel as I do, that drugs being made illegal makes them more dangerous for people to consume.

Peace be with you Amy Winehouse.

I found out about this @ Warped Tour, some guy was walking around w/ an RIP" Amy Winehouse" sign. A lot of the bands gave her shout outs.

Despite the fact that the illegality of drugs harmed her more keep in mind she could afford the best drugs (in other words not the garbage stuff that is more destructive and she wouldnt have 2 steal 2 support her habit) and lawyers. This chick was a hot mess.
