Kathy Sullivan Has a Short Memory

NH Democrat Party Chairman Kathy Sullivan (frequent recipient of the weekly Bad Attitude Award from "Against the Grain", on WNTK 99.7 FM) made it official December 13, 2005; she is angry.

Why?

On the day in question, NH Republican Party Chairman Warren Henderson filed an election-law complaint against the former manager of the Bob Baines re-election campaign. According to the complaint, Henderson said that Geoff Wetrosky, the Baines staffer who was living at Sullivan's abode, and had been accused by witnesses of stealing political signs of Baines opponent (and now future Mayor) Frank Guinta, and taking them to Sullivan's house, signed a false affidavit prior to voting on November 8, 2005.

Henderson alleges that Wetrosky's vote was illegal, since he signed for "same day" voting, using Sullivan's address, and pledged that he intended to live in NH, but has since left for South Dakota.

Ms. Sullivan has evidently had enough of this recognition of the law by Mr. Henderson, and has decided to employ high-level rhetoric, saying:

"Warren Henderson is a jerk, and please quote me on that."

Done. She has also said:

"What he (Henderson) is doing is reprehensible. He's trying to destroy the life of a young person who is active and interested in politics."

Such language is cute. One wonders if Ms. Sullivan were to have an arsonist living in her house, and that man had burned down a home nearby, would she say he was merely interested in thermodynamics?

The Conspiracy has been critical of the NH GOP. However, to euphemistically call a man accused of not one, but two crimes, perhaps three, a person who is "active and interested in politics", and to be a potential recipient of stolen material herself, Ms. Sullivan has a lot of audacity. To say that Henderson is out to destroy a young man, is patently false. Henderson is acknowledging that this "young man", Wetrosky, appears to be a law-breaker. Either Wetrosky intended to stay in NH, in which case he is skipping out on an investigation into his alleged theft of political signs, or he did not intend to stay in NH when he signed up for "same-day" voting. Either way, he is clearly in trouble with the law.

Kathy Sullivan has repeatedly tried to avoid the issue of her ties to Wetrosky, even while flamboyantly announcing that she and her Democrat colleagues demand answers regarding Bill Frist's involvement in the 2002 "phone jamming" scheme in NH. The recent trial and current jury deliberations over the fate of James Tobin, who is alleged to have been party to the jamming scheme, have given Sullivan much grist for the mill.

We will not comment on Tobin here. We will merely note that Sullivan's comments from 2004 could easily be applied to her own actions in 2005. Listen and judge for yourself!

If this propane training requirement had any proven merit, my insurance company would have required that I get it as a condition of being insured!192.168.0.1
