As one reads this piece, he is struck by how myopic the pop media are. Numerous times, they quote people like Fred Solop (perfect name), who says: "When you start to bring guns to political rallies, it does start to layer on another level of concern and significance."

Then there's Zippy the Pin-head -- sorry, Paul Hemke -- head of the Brady Coalition for Pin-heads. SORRY!, SORRY! The Brady Bunch. NO! Sorry! The, uh, Brady Campaign to Disarm Free People and Inspire More Violent Crime. Zippy said, "To me, this is craziness. When you bring a loaded gun, particularly a loaded assault rifle, to any political event, but particularly to one where the President is appearing, you just make the situation dangerous for everyone."

Anyone seen the political evens put on by the Free State Project, where dozens of people are openly carrying firearms? Anyone been to an NRA gathering, or one put on by GO America? And what of those secret service agents. The reporter on this story seems not to even realize that, as he mentioned the Secret Service near the end of the piece, those people are always armed, and have, in the past, arrested citizens at protest who were not doing ANYTHING dangerous. So, it appears that, as long as the King's lackeys have weapons, the media believe the scene is safe, and if the underlings, the serfs, should at all exercise their natural rights to defense, or even show people they still retain them, that's dangerous.

If only Charlton Heston were here to quote Planet of the Apes: "How in Hell did this upside down world get started?!"
