Arizona Teen's Strip Search School Drug Case Goes to US Supreme Court

When this young woman was 13, the administration of her government school forced her to shed her clothes, in order to facilitate a search for "illicit drugs", ie, prescription ibuprophen.

The "War on Drugs", government taxation, government schooling, they're all mixed up in this story, and in each instance, liberty is the loser.

Now, she gets to go to a government court to try to oppose government action. Nice end game. We'll see what happens, but one thing is for certain, those who call in to talk radio programs and say that if only the parents had been called to give approval, if only they had been there, they miss the point. This girl should never have been in the government run system in the first place, the suspicion of "illegal activity" would not have been a factor if the "drug war" weren't around, adn her parents could have dealt with the matter far better, with more addressability, if they had not had their tax money taken from them for this government system. If they had been able to employ a private school, they would have had a much easier time getting a response, and the school would suffer or succeed based on how it handled its clients and their kids' privacy.
