As part of a continued effort to crack down on "vulgarity and dissent," nearly 200 of the country's karaoke venues have installed the "National Karaoke Content Management System," which supervises the playlist and automatically alerts the police if a vulgar song is performed. Is there a list of reasons why Americans should fear the US Government?
Anybody know of website or youtube video that just rattles off examples of why the government should be feared more than a disturbed kid trying to blow up his underwear. I was arguing with a so called liberal who now expresses fear towards terrorism and is rattling the saber for US involvement in Yemen and anywhere that Obama wishes to go. She was shocked that I fear the government more than terrorism and listed the DEA shutting down medical marijuana clinics in California along with Ruby Ridge, Waco, Kent State but there has to be a complete list out there. Any ideas?

British drug smuggler executed in China's Xinjiang
Dude was likely bi-polar, and executed for, from what I can tell, the non-violent non-crime of transporting an intoxicating substance through a totalitarian police state. It was noted that the man may have suffered from untreated bi-polar disorder.

Now this kind of story scares the hell out of me. If they want someone to stay silent all they have to do is bring in child porn allegations and you can look forward to a living hell.
Truancy
This is a story I happened to run across late because it's from October. It's a story from The Adcocate, a newspaper from Baton Rouge, LA. Long story short, the District Attorney, Hillar Moore III, is threatening jail time for parents who allow their children to miss more than 3 days of school. First of all, school sucks. If school was so great, children wouldn't have to be coerced into going to school. Second, it is inherently wrong for any school system or state official to cage a parent for failing to make their children go to their indoctrination camps. Parents should not be so sheep like and not let the state tell them where there children should be. Parents should be responsible enough to watch over their own children.
Disorderly Conduct for hip-hop fast food order
Just read this story about how 4 Utah Teenagers rapped their order at a McDonald's in American Fork, Utah, and were cited for disorderly conduct.
This really blows my mind. Trespassing maybe, but disorderly conduct? Hardly. The effectively sang their order to the drive through attendant, and had criminal charges filed agains them. This is stupid, and is a telltale sign of the police state we live in.

Anti Gun Control Petition

Okay though this is anti gun control petition on the Downing Street website it can be signed by anybody with an email address, so it doesn't have to be signed by just UK citizens & from what I've been told by the individual who set up the petition the more who sign this petition the higher the petition gets ranked. Higher ranking = more exposure to the issue. There is no way anybody would believe this petition will result in the liberalisation of UK gun laws but it could give more exposure to the issue & so I ask that people send & post the relevant info about this petition.
Anyone notice if drug busts are on the rise?
I don't know if I'm only becoming more aware of these stories since I've gotten deeper into the liberty movement or is the war on drugs escalating because in my area there were three major marijuana growing busts and another arrest involving dealers that actually got money HUD for the apartment. Pete and Jason of Motorhome Diaries Arrested in Mississippi

It's not clear why, but they were apparently pulled over yesterday in Jones County, Mississippi. Passenger Adam Mueller attempted to videotape the traffic stop, and was arrested for doing so. It isn't clear what happened next, but Talley and Eyre were also eventually arrested, Eyre for possession of a beer in a dry county, and Talley for disorderly conduct, disobeying, and resisting arrest.
They're due to be arraigned tomorrow.

Manchester will this autumn become the first city where people can sign up for an ID card, Jacqui Smith is to confirm.
Anyone over 16 in the city with a UK passport will be able to apply for a card from the Home Office.
The home secretary's speech signals her determination to push ahead with the cards, which will initially cost £30, despite opposition.
The Tories and Lib Dems want the £5bn scheme scrapped, while some Labour MPs have expressed doubts about its cost.
People in Manchester who want an ID card can register their interest on the Directgov website.
