The Liberty Conspiracy Website Has Been Banned in China

Thanks to fellow Conspirator Stephen Smith, who found out firsthand, we can give you some of the details. Evidently, this site has been banned by the Chinese government or certain ISPs. We are sure we're one of thousands or perhaps millions that have been targeted and locked away from inquisitive eyes in that bastion of liberty, the "People's Republic". But while the site has been banned, the PODCASTS are still findable. They sneak through somehow, perhaps because they are carried on other platforms like Itunes and Podomatic. So while Chinese people who are inquisitive about free markets and libertarian philosophy can't read these entries, they can still hear our audio programs and find our audio library!

Many thanks to Stephen for his work. We might try to push the Chinese government to take their hands off us and the people who would like to listen to us. That would likely entail contacting the US and Chinese embassies, and a bunch of US Congressmen and Senators and playing little games with them. Ugh. Meanwhile, many Chinese can still get through to us via our Facebook page. But Facebook is banned in certain areas as well...

Something to note: Stephen and another international traveler who has appeared on our shows many times have both confirmed that hotels that cater to western clientelle have broader parameters for their web service, depending on whether they use Hong Kong and Japenese ISPs rather than Chinese. Something to keep in mind when you book your hotel, should you be traveling to Shanghai, etc.

Spread the word! Evidently, we're threatening to the Chinese government's status quo!
