You'd think that the Communist Party (which is only now communist in name) would strongly disapprove of Punk Rock.
You'd think that the Communist Party would disapprove of rock & roll in general but there is an annual pop festival in Beijing which nine Inch Nails have performed at.
From what I can tell the Communist Party are okay with rock/pop music so long as its as its not political.
When you think about it a great deal of Punk Rock these days doesn't have that anti-authoritarian zeal it once did, in fact a great deal of punk rock has become somewhat corporate.
I'm just wondering if the authorities in China would welcome a tour from The International Noise Conspiracy being as they're a punk rock band who are communists.
