Whoopee 5th most popular fringe event at Lb Dem conference, geez that’s going to make an impact on the landscape of British politics & further the cause of liberty around the globe.
Bragging that an event hosted by some classical liberals at Lib Dem conference is equivalent to heralding that some fool came third in Mongolia’s national burping contest.
If this is all that classical liberals slash libertarians have to brag about then I have to say what a sorry sack of shit libertarians happen to be here in Britain. I might not agree with all the tactics that Ian Freeman & his brethren might undertake over in New Hampshire, but at least he & others have got off their arses & got proactive.
What really sticks in my throat is that those involved with Liberal Vision were often the ones who crowed that Ron Paul lost in 2008, hey he might of lost but he turned an awful lot of heads & managed to inspire a movement. It seems all Liberal vision have to brag about is coming 5th at some fringe event at a conference nobody really gives a crap about. Maybe if Liberal Vision surpassed the achievements of Ron Paul then maybe they’d have something to brag about, until then they should possibly hold of because it makes them look like a bunch of wankers.
